  • The forum seems to have been closed down possibly in response to a request from the French District. Can anyone confirm this?

Moderator: Yes, I'd say it's a sure thing. Here's the message you get when you visit Ignis Ardens:

Message of the Superior of the French District of the Society of St. Pius X

Father R. de Cacqueray, Superior of the District of France, the largest district of the Society of Saint Pius X (FSSPX / SSPX), issued the following communiqué this evening, inviting his priests and faithful to silence and prayer:

"All these were persevering with one mind in prayer with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren." Act. I, 14.

On this day of the Ascension, the apostles reassembled gently around the Blessed Virgin Mary to enter the Cenacle where they would persevere in prayer up until the feast of Pentecost. That is the example that is left by the Queen of all Saints and by those who were the columns of the Church founded by Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Was that not what they should have done in the night of Agony and on Good Friday in order to prevent their desertion and their dispersal? I therefore invite all members of the Society that are in the District [of France], all the faithful, and all those who care for them to gather in this same detachment and with this same prayerfulness around Our Lady of the Clergy, up until the Feast of Pentecost. In such dire circuмstances, truth is made known to the souls who humble themselves before God, those who quiet down their passions and their inner excitement, in order to have no other thirst than that for the truth of God and no other will than His own.

I dare make the request, during these days that precede the Feast of Pentecost, that those responsible for forums accept to close them down. If they leave them open, may their readers abstain from visiting them and, if they nevertheless visit them, that they do not expect to find truth in the myriad of messages exchanged therein.

Let us even try to abstain from the Internet (an excellent penance to be offered!) and let us use the time that will be thus gained to read again the great books of Archbishop Lefebvre. Let us pray more and better by concluding with fervor the great Rosary Crusade requested by our Superior General. Let us join to our prayers our penance, as the Blessed Virgin Mary always told us to do! Priests, brothers, religious men and women, let us show by example! Let us ask the Good God for forgiveness for our sins from all our heart and let us live in the state of grace. Let us bear with patience the sacrifices of our daily life. Let us not neglect our duty of state because all will have been lost then. Let us give generously to God something of our very selves that costs us somewhat in order to bind ourselves more firmly to Him.

We are living through a great test. But Our Lord is always present in the barque even when the storm is lashed out and when it seems to destroy it. Let us not fear if Our Lord seems to sleep again because, in reality, he does not cease to keep watch over us. We believe this with all our soul. Which is why we must remain serene within ourselves, quite certain that the Good God keeps watch over us.

Let us appeal to Heaven for our Superior General, for his Assistants, for our bishops, so that the graces of light and strength of which they have need may be granted to them so that they main remain firm in the good combat of the Faith in so dire circuмstances. We owe our four bishops an immense debt of gratitude and we beseech the Good God to give us the joy of celebrating, on June 30, 2013, the beautiful silver jubilee of their episcopacy.

Let us also ask for graces for ourselves and for each other, we have the greatest need of it. In all the houses of the Society, we begin this evening the novena of the "Veni Creator" sung until the feast of Pentecost and which you may join.

By inviting you to conclude with the greatest fervor the great Rosary Crusade requested by our Superior General and expecting the joy of finding you all on the road to Orleans [the SSPX Pentecost pilgrimage] to celebrate our Joan, we entrust you all to the Dolorous and Immaculate Heart of Mary,

Father Régis de Cacqueray, Superior of the District of France of the SSPX

  • Let's recall the proverb of Santayana, an apostate, but at least one with no use for modernism, and consider this episode in history:

    Quote
At Smithfield on the following day, further negotiations with the king were arranged, but, on this occasion, the meeting did not go according to plan. Wat Tyler rode ahead to talk to the king and his party. Tyler, it is alleged by the king's chroniclers, behaved most belligerently and dismounted his horse and called for a drink most rudely. In the ensuing dispute, Tyler (supposedly) drew his dagger, and William Walworth, the Lord Mayor of London, drew his sword and attacked Tyler, mortally wounding him in the neck; Sir John Cavendish, one of the King's knights, drew his sword and ran it through Tyler's stomach, killing him almost instantly. Seeing him surrounded by the King's entourage, the rebel army was in uproar, but King Richard, seizing the opportunity, rode forth and shouted, "You shall have no captain but me,"[9] a statement left deliberately ambiguous to defuse the situation. He promised the rebels that all was well, that Tyler had been knighted, and that their demands would be met—they were to march to St John's Fields, where Wat Tyler would meet them. This they duly did, but the king broke his promise. The nobles quickly re-established their control with the help of a hastily organised militia of 7000, and most of the other leaders were pursued, captured and executed, including John Ball. Following the collapse of the revolt, the king's concessions were quickly revoked. Those involved hastened to dissociate themselves in the months that followed.

  • And, as "discussion" is stifled, the Menzingen/Rome psy-op machine grinds on.

  • That these people have the temerity to tell people to stop talking, as though that were a reasonable request and that they have the authority to make such requests is a sign of what one of the main problems is with this group.  It's the reason why the SSPX is in this current predicament.

  • I would have thought the IA mods were above capitulating to such a petty and obviously manipulative demand.

    Oh well.

That's what bothers me.  What's good for the goose is good for the gander.  I will be happy to stay off the internet if the psy-op machine does too.

Their Administrator, Patricius, supports Bishop Fellay. Don't blame the other two Moderators!

  • Whether the Pope gives official recognition is not the fundamental problem the SSPX is suffering from at this point. The fact that Bishop Fellay is committing the SSPX to a course of conciliation with error has already become manifest. Merely avoiding a public deal solves nothing.

The real problem is the malignant clique that is operating under ʝʊdɛօ-masonic influence.

The solution to the problem is quite simple. Systematic disobedience to the Fellay/Krah/Pflueger clique, by the a large section of the members of the SSPX.

That is, they should preach whatever they believe. They should be bold. They should refuse to cooperate with orders to leave. With expulsion notices. They should force the police to arrest them. They should force Bishop Fellay to show the brutal hand of his tyrannical cult-like regime.

In that way, it will not matter what the clique does anymore. They will have lost control of the society. The Society is ultimately made up of the priests, not properties. The priests can save the society. Don't leave. Fight. Like they fought for Saint Nicholas du Chardonnet in 1977.

It is impossible to believe that Archbishop Lefebvre appointed the Superior General to go against the majority of the bishops of the Society. He has usurped authority, as have the modernists in Rome.

  • This is most interesting. Thanks to Matthew for resisting. Will have its price though. Where's the catacombs!

The SSPX leadership doing the sellout is shady and commands the faithful to turn of the lights, so to speak. When will we be ordered to abstain from the biggest threat to the liberals in the entire Internet -- the Eleison Comments?

The truth will come to light.

P.S. But this is a pretty good litmus test.

Oh yes. How Marxist is the behaviour of Menzingen becoming.

  • Our Lord instructed us to "watch and pray." Bishop Williamson, who I am proud to say was the bishop that confirmed me in the Catholic faith also preaches this often. I think these three short words are a great command to nut be dumb to what is going on around us but to see what's going on and react according to our faith and promises we have made to Our Lord and Our Lady.

They now seek to extend the secrecy and work in the darkness.  All restraints are being done away with.

The first thing one does when engaging in a battle is to cut off communications.
This leaves everyone isolated so they cannot mount any type of co-ordinated defense.

They seem to have declare war upon all resitors. How does that fit with St. Peter's admonition to "love the Brethren" ?
