  • But what's most disturbing:

The English obey when the ... French ask...

This is one for the books!

P.S. I hope this joke is understandable also for non-Europeans? :-)

Their Administrator, Patricius, supports Bishop Fellay. Don't blame the other two Moderators!

Patricius, though he may be supportive, is not entirely enthused with what Bp. Fellay has done recently. I suppose whatever is lacking in treachery on the part of the present SSPX leadership, is made up for by cowardice on the part of the laity.
Notice that the 'mandatory' info blackout doesn't apply to that silly Rorate Caeli blog.

  • Just to clarify:

    No one has threatened IA.

    Patricius supports all four bishops.

And what with the general atmosphere on the forum at the moment, he decided to heed Fr de Cacqueray's advice, and close the forum until Pentecost.

  • Is it a coincidence that two SSPX-friendly sites are now down at this time? I notice Rorate Caeli is still running .........

True but he is well disposed towards The Tribe and very anti + Williamson.

They now seek to extend the secrecy and work in the darkness.  All restraints are being done away with.

The first thing one does when engaging in a battle is to cut off communications.

Indeed. They probably got Martin van Creveld as tactical counsellor now. ;-)
(No, this one is not a Dutch but an "Elder Brother".)

They ignited their SSPX EMP, so to speak. (World War III will see a real one, btw.)

And you know what? When they read what we're saying here (which they shouldn't would they follow their own order), they'll feel fully affirmed that their EMP preventive strike was absolutely necessary.

    Quote
This leaves everyone isolated so they cannot mount any type of co-ordinated defense.

Of course, and that's why Bp Fellay for years tried to shutdown the blessed Eleison Comments from the brave Bishop Richard "Lionheart" Williamson.

Still, despite the seriousness of the situation, let's not loose our humor. When the good Bishop gave a 5 minute sermon in South Korea before yesterday, he was very serious and tried to calm the audience. Still he found several occasions to show his excellent humor (when he imitated the devil, for example).

God save Bishop Williamson. We now need you more than ever.

The English trads were doing OK before the French invaded her shores!   :roll-laugh2:

Have fora closed other years at this time? No. So we suspect online discord and rebellious peasants as the reason for the French intervention. France is the largest district housing half the priests; the leanings and actions of Fr. de Cacqueray will have such considerable bearing on the current crisis.

Oh, lovely: that's a solution of striking simplicity. We support the truth and the untruth at the same time. We don't need to small-mindedly side with one side anymore. Plurality! Hermeneutic of blah-blah. Benedict XVI's baby aka Vaticanum II established this delusion officially in the Newchurch: support for "2 + 2 = 9" and "2 + 2 = 4" at the same time... Read the EC series about it.

We support Archbishop Lefebvre and his archenemy Ratzinger / Benedict XVI.
Aren't we smart little double-thinkers. Or liberals for short...

The forum seems to have been closed down possibly in response to a request from the French District. Can anyone confirm this?

Moderator: Yes, I'd say it's a sure thing. Here's the message you get when you visit Ignis Ardens:

Message of the Superior of the French District of the Society of St. Pius X

Father R. de Cacqueray, Superior of the District of France, the largest district of the Society of Saint Pius X (FSSPX / SSPX), issued the following communiqué this evening, inviting his priests and faithful to silence and prayer:

"All these were persevering with one mind in prayer with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren." Act. I, 14.

On this day of the Ascension, the apostles reassembled gently around the Blessed Virgin Mary to enter the Cenacle where they would persevere in prayer up until the feast of Pentecost. That is the example that is left by the Queen of all Saints and by those who were the columns of the Church founded by Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Was that not what they should have done in the night of Agony and on Good Friday in order to prevent their desertion and their dispersal? I therefore invite all members of the Society that are in the District [of France], all the faithful, and all those who care for them to gather in this same detachment and with this same prayerfulness around Our Lady of the Clergy, up until the Feast of Pentecost. In such dire circuмstances, truth is made known to the souls who humble themselves before God, those who quiet down their passions and their inner excitement, in order to have no other thirst than that for the truth of God and no other will than His own.

I dare make the request, during these days that precede the Feast of Pentecost, that those responsible for forums accept to close them down. If they leave them open, may their readers abstain from visiting them and, if they nevertheless visit them, that they do not expect to find truth in the myriad of messages exchanged therein.

Let us even try to abstain from the Internet (an excellent penance to be offered!) and let us use the time that will be thus gained to read again the great books of Archbishop Lefebvre. Let us pray more and better by concluding with fervor the great Rosary Crusade requested by our Superior General. Let us join to our prayers our penance, as the Blessed Virgin Mary always told us to do! Priests, brothers, religious men and women, let us show by example! Let us ask the Good God for forgiveness for our sins from all our heart and let us live in the state of grace. Let us bear with patience the sacrifices of our daily life. Let us not neglect our duty of state because all will have been lost then. Let us give generously to God something of our very selves that costs us somewhat in order to bind ourselves more firmly to Him.

We are living through a great test. But Our Lord is always present in the barque even when the storm is lashed out and when it seems to destroy it. Let us not fear if Our Lord seems to sleep again because, in reality, he does not cease to keep watch over us. We believe this with all our soul. Which is why we must remain serene within ourselves, quite certain that the Good God keeps watch over us.

Let us appeal to Heaven for our Superior General, for his Assistants, for our bishops, so that the graces of light and strength of which they have need may be granted to them so that they main remain firm in the good combat of the Faith in so dire circuмstances. We owe our four bishops an immense debt of gratitude and we beseech the Good God to give us the joy of celebrating, on June 30, 2013, the beautiful silver jubilee of their episcopacy.

Let us also ask for graces for ourselves and for each other, we have the greatest need of it. In all the houses of the Society, we begin this evening the novena of the "Veni Creator" sung until the feast of Pentecost and which you may join.

By inviting you to conclude with the greatest fervor the great Rosary Crusade requested by our Superior General and expecting the joy of finding you all on the road to Orleans [the SSPX Pentecost pilgrimage] to celebrate our Joan, we entrust you all to the Dolorous and Immaculate Heart of Mary,

Father Régis de Cacqueray, Superior of the District of France of the SSPX

I was part of a cult once.  Same tactics as these.   If you read and discuss........GOD FORBID........you might descover the truth!
Just go to sleep, sheep, and listen to what we tell you!  The SSPX has no respect for the laity.  No cult does.

  • This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard of. I can't believe IA bought into this crap. Thanks so much to Matthew for not falling for this nonsense.

After this latest FARCE, I am officially convinced that Bishop Fellay has completely ruined the SSPX. Even if no deal is struck, the Society will never be the same again, not as long as Fellay remains the SG.
Please ignore ALL of my posts. I was naive during my time posting on this forum and didn’t know any better. I retract and deeply regret any and all uncharitable or erroneous statements I ever made here.

I think the post Vtican 11  tribulations of the late 60's and early 70's I lived thru, were just a dress rehersal of what is to come!
