  • Looks like he's putting his pope hat on a girl as a joke.

I agree with you.  But do you think the "pope hat" is something to joke with?

  • I just pray that's not a sign that he's going to start allowing women priests.

  • It's less disturbing than giving Peℓσѕι and Biden Communion when they went to the Vatican for Bergoglio's installation as Pope.

  • He pretends to be Pope, so why shouldn't she?
"This principle is most certain: The non-Christian cannot in any way be Pope. The reason for this is that he cannot be head of what he is not a member. Now, he who is not a Christian is not a member of the Church, and a manifest heretic is not a Christian, as is clearly taught by St. Cyprian, St. Athanasius, St. Augustine, St. Jerome, and others. Therefore, the manifest heretic cannot be Pope." -- St. Robert Bellarmine

Where is Francis I heading to ?

Please note that like Peter, Fabian, Marcellinus, and at least thirty-five other popes, Francis has no number after his name. He will become Francis I if and only if there is ever a Francis II. Barring a road to Damascus–style experience for Humble Frank, we can hope and pray he remains numberless ad infinitum.

A lot of his subordinates certainly like children.

If he really liked children he would not teach them to trivialise the papacy.

Looks like we have another JP2.

Now, Poche, why don't you go and and start another topic?

  • Not another JP2.  Each of them is unique. This man will make sedevacantists of us all.

He will do things so outrageous that we will say "How can this man be Pope? How could the Holy Ghost make such a mistake?"

Strap yourself in for a wild ride,as Karin Carpenter sang"we've only just begun"

  • This video just seemed like a nice old guy and a sweet young girl greeting each other in an informal way.

It looked like Pope Francis was the one who took his hat off. In a separate picture, that girl's hands look like they are in the traditional mode of prayer and not the combined fists look.  I may have seen that wrong.

The other comments about Pope Francis here are absolutely right on.  I think the rest of his time in the "office" is going to be good fodder for the Catholic websites.

The Holy Ghost can't make a mistake but He doesn't elect the pope. He can only inspire the electors. The electors can still exercise free will.

The Church is indefectible.  Our Lord never promised us an impeccable hierarchy.
