Because in the deranged mind of neo-catholics the pope IS Christ, not just His Vicar. Infallible dogma flow from his mouth everytime he speaks.

Has there ever been this type of hyper-papism that neo-catholics spew at any point in the Church? Why even have bishops, councils or dogma anyway? It really is troubling.

The pope is the Vicar of Christ and is to be obeyed in all things when he faithfully transmits, defines and teaches the Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Faith which has been handed down from the Apostles and defended by General Councils and orthodox popes throughout history. When the pope fails in this, and they have at various times throughout history, they are not to be obeyed. Why is this simple Catholic concept so hard to grasp for these neo-catholics?

Mr. Zuhlsdorf (for I utterly refuse to consider him bearing the sacerdotal dignity) is a fatuous blowhard that has parlayed his following as a pseudo-traditional presbyter into a one-man conciliar media circus that does what media does best: generate public exposure by saying inflammatory things. He does so because he's been largely marginalized at this point: the NO conciliarists don't listen to him, and true traditionalists deny his orthodoxy. He probably hopes that, following the assimiliation of the SSPX into the conciliar anti-church, he'll have a fresh new crop of souls to bludgeon with his sanctimonious tripe.

The #### word is derived from the Greek for priest.

It would seem you have your terms confused, SM:

"SSPX-Rome Agreement" is the title of this sub-forum, but not of this thread.

It's a stretch to say that's the "topic." That's ambiguous. For then, it would also be the
case for other "topics" in this forum, CathInfo, such as General Discussion, or The
Library. Would you say that "we are going to discuss the topic of General Discussion,"
and expect anyone to know what you have in mind?

Or, what about, "I called the Reference desk to ask about Church history. They asked
me what topic I'm interested in, and I told them, 'The Library'?"

Sorry, the "subforum" is titled "SSPX-Rome Agreement," not the thread

Nevertheless, the "Rome" in the subforum title = "The Novus Church"

It is hard to discuss an agreement with an entity without ever mentioning said entity, which is what was impliedly proposed by Emerentia.

The article I posted was directly on point to the Society/ Rome discussions.

Furthermore, if you don't want to read threads on the "Novus Church" don't click on threads with "Fr. Z Demands the Society Submit to the Vicar of Christ! " in the title.

Getting back to the subject at hand...

A strong recommendation for Fr/Mr Z... get yourself conditionally ordained by a validly consecrated Bishop!!!

With a little Sacramental Grace and "Grace of State", you won't make such an imbecile of yourself and you won't be so offensive to God and man in your unbridled defense of V2, new-church and its new "sacraments".
