  • If they consider the Resistance to be non-Catholic then they are schismatics.  Same goes the other way around.

And yet you yourself have accused Resistance trads of being heretics quite a few times. Not lately, of course.
"It is licit to resist a Sovereign Pontiff who is trying to destroy the Church. I say it is licit to resist him in not following his orders and in preventing the execution of his will. It is not licit to Judge him, to punish him, or to depose him, for these are acts proper to a superior."

    ~St. Robert Bellarmine
    De Romano Pontifice, Lib.II, c.29

Shall we go over all your past sins?

Past and corrected is water under the bridge. I can only criticize, correct, moderate, or ban users based on current behavior.
I have much more important things to worry about than people, places, things, and behaviors that literally don't exist anymore.
    Moving on...

So by your logic a repentant thief can't ever condemn theft in others, because that would somehow still be hypocritical for him (even though he has totally changed his ways)? he's somehow locked-in to his past sins, married to them as it were?

I don't think you understand hypocrisy. It's where you pretend to be better than you ARE. Another definition is to condemn something WHILE indulging in that same activity -- or worse -- yourself. In both cases, it has to be present-tense evil, not something you repented of in the past and are no longer guilty of!

I'm glad you're not going to preside over my Particular Judgment!

And you are too obtuse to recognize the difference between accusing some R&R Trads of asserting propositions that are implicitly (and materially) heretical and formally condemning them as being non-Catholic and outside the Church.  You have always struggled with basic distinctions.  I would never dare refuse Extreme Unction even to someone like you.  I have repeatedly stated that I have no problem with the R&R position as articulated by Archbishop Lefebvre ... and even identify most closely with the position of one Father Chazal, a prominent member of said Resistance.  But this does not mean that I have to agree with every idiotic proposition ever uttered by anyone who claims to be aligned with the Resistance.  I am actually one of the most liberal Trads out here in terms of yellow-lighting organizations that most would red light ... e.g. Eastern Rite liturgies and even some Motu liturgies (provided they're offered by a known valid priest).  Despite my strong opinions on various subjects, I am NOT the Church and I know my place.  I do not excommunicate anyone; only the Church does that.  And in the confusion of today's crisis, there's a much higher threshold for erring in good faith.  Were I a priest, I might denounce your erroneous opinions even as I'm placing the Holy Eucharist on your tongue.

  • Fr. Taouk never got the memo -- the latest strategy of the SSPX is "no martyrdoms" or "no heroes" , getting people to come back to the SSPX chapels, no more expulsions, and get as many of those frogs back in the pot as possible -- time will do the rest.

The diabolical Communists share this strategy, incidentally. They would rather discredit you, make you look horrible, frame you as a rapist, date rapist, pedophile, make you fade away into obscurity, or something along those lines. That way, even your supporters hate you. They don't want heroes and martyrs.
The devil knows that "the blood of martyrs is the seed of Christians".

Likewise, the abuse and dry martyrdom of faithful Trads is the seed of more Trads, a.k.a. Resistance supporters.

But I must say, at least Fr. Taouk is honest about how he feels, and consistent with his beliefs. He believes that the Resistance is evil, there is nothing to resist, etc. and so if someone misses a single Mass, he thinks they committed a mortal sin. Maybe he believes that not attending Mass is a public act (that people can see) and so it's a "public sin"? Who knows.

It is refreshing in a way to see some honesty in a priest, even if his zeal is misplaced and happens to hurt some Trads. At least we all know where he stands. He's not two-faced!
I agree with him about mass. If you miss mass through your own fault it is a mortal sin.

  • This is shocking and scandalous if it is true. A Priest should do everything in his power to provide the Last Sacraments (Unction and Viaticuм if possible) to all Catholics who ask. Jesus Christ shed His Precious Blood and purchased our souls at so great a cost, and we are ready to allow other souls to be in danger of hell or purgatory when the Last Sacraments could well relieve them from both.

I hope we all agree with Archbishop Lefebvre that Traditional Catholic Unity is of utmost importance for Church Restoration. And when it comes to souls in their hour of death, petty ecclesiastical politics in traddieland should be absolutely set aside. The Church Herself exists for the glory of God and the salvation of souls. Woe to us if we have to give account for the loss of another soul in our charge when it was in òur power to help them. Every Priest should consider it his main responsibility to shepherd 1000s of souls among all he ministers to to heaven, obtaining them the graces from justification to final perseverance, through his prayers and the Sacraments.
"We wish also to make amends for the insults to which Your Vicar on earth and Your Priests are everywhere subjected [above all by schismatic sedevacantists - Nishant Xavier], for the profanation, by conscious neglect or Terrible Acts of Sacrilege, of the very Sacrament of Your Divine Love; and lastly for the Public Crimes of Nations who resist the Rights and The Teaching Authority of the Church which You have founded." - Act of Reparation to the Sacred Heart of Lord Jesus.

  • When Father MacDonald last visited Australia in August,  at the Mass centre in Sydney, Father mentioned that he wanted to return to Brisbane to see Ken Bayliss. He had visited him previously, so I feel certain Father would have administered the Last Rites to him.

That's good to hear, I'll check in with my mate in the Resistance group here the next time I join them for Sunday rosary and prayers.
