Bernadette, I must agree with Tele that you have taken so many sides over this issue, to the point where I can't figure out whether you support Fellay or the other three. You have said so many times in the past that you don't like the SSPX, now here you demanding that people give money to them or else don't receive Communion. We are not obliged to give money to traitors.

Okay...so I have taken different positions at different times...but I am not any different from many other traditional Catholics searching for the truth.

To be clear...I have never liked the fence-sitting position. I have gone from NO to diocesan latin mass, to independent chapel to sspx to sedevacantist and back again.

I'm just saying that if one assists at masses of the sspx on a regular basis...something in the basket...even a dollar two is appropriate, basic human decency and more dignified than taking the petty cheapskate route...if one truly wishes to protest against the current direction of the society..they should not go to the society masses...that would be the better and more appropriate way to protest...if one still must go, then curtail the amount given...it will be noticed you can be sure.

As to Tele...he is surely more bitter now...

Which sounds like the sort of thing you typically hear from the liberalizers about all people who resist their agenda It's natural and correct to be angry at betrayal. Yes, bitter resistance, to the end, that's the correct course. If the Catholic Faith really matters.

Eyeballing the collection plate in our parish suggests that collections have dramatically diminished.

Perhaps, Bernadette, since you're understandable concerned about failing to materially support our priests, you aught to send your usual contribution directly to those who have boldly spoken the truth about this travesty. Then, at least they'll hit the ground running when the time comes, and you will have truly funded the most needy, and most worthy, pastors.
