Over the past months, during which these attacks have intensified, it is noteworthy that most of the “indiscretions,” “leaks” and rumors about the Society were released on sedevacantist sites and newly-opened sites animated by the same spirit.
I'm sorry, but I'm not going to apologize for using my God-given faculty of reason.
I want to be on the side of truth as much as any other good Catholic.
I WANT to believe you're the good guy, Fr. Rostand, but you make it impossible.
The statement I quoted (above) is an outright lie. CathInfo is neither a sedevacantist site, nor a newly-established one. The two sites that brought most SSPX "leaks" and real news to the English speaking world: CathInfo and Ignis Ardens. Neither are sedevacantist, and both have been around for years.
I suppose he could claim a "mental reservation" since CathInfo does allow Sedes to be members. But calling it a "Sedevacantist website" is still quite a bit of a stretch.
What I see (and I can't see anything else, even with great effort) is a smear/disinformation tactic. He's using Sedevacantist as a sort of boogey-man, to try to scare the more sheep-like followers away from this and other sites, where they might (gasp!) learn the truth.
I don't see any other way to interpret such an obvious falsehood.
