We don't have 79 seminarians who prefer authority to truth, but we do have 2 bishops, 9 priests, 3 oblates, and 6 seminarians who prefer truth to authority.
Well, I'm sure you know that this is a bit of an oversimplification. These 79 could have just gone with FSSP, or most of them could have. There's probably a blend of reasons they're there. I'd love to know what percentage are simply Cradle SSPXers that just went through the system, SSPX schools, St. Mary's, et al. If that's the case, they probably don't even fully understand what the problem is here with the Conciliar Church except for an irreverent and perhaps theologically and pastorally not-as-good Liturgy. Theologically, they probably have very few differences with the Conciliar Church. Some probably don't know much about why the Resistance split off ... probably have been told that it's just a group of αnтι-ѕємιтєs who followed that one bishop who denied the h0Ɩ0cαųst (and that's what this is really about).
