.
There are three ways of looking at the Newmass.
1) It is invalid -- and in that case, in eternity we will see all the IDOLATRY that had been going on all these years after it was made to occur by FIAT (not really promulgated, but APPEARING to have been promulgated -- IOW a DOUBLE deception -- not promulgated and not valid). Some of the objective idolators had been doing so in ignorance, but others willfully, and everything in between, and only God knows who is who.
2) It is not invalid -- and in that case, it has been a cause of tremendous scandal, blasphemy, insult to God, and transgression of mankind (which we will know with clarity of vision in eternity) because all these Newmass hootenanies have been RE-CRUCIFYING Our Lord, as The Apostle says.
3) It is doubtful -- and in that case, it might be valid sometimes and invalid other times. In this situation it is not incuмbent on the Faithful to know which it is, EXCEPT by the evidence that can be seen and understood. If, for example, you go to a Newmass where the priest behaves like everything is a joke, and this does go on, then, after "mass" you approach that priest and ask him if he can tell you that believes that God is present Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity as soon as he speaks the words of the Consecration, and then he answers you that he does NOT believe it, then that is EVIDENCE that his "masses" are invalid.
Any way you slice it, it's NOT GOOD. Therefore, the Newmass has been an abject FAILURE, and the SSPX has NO BUSINESS doing or saying anything that would attempt to make "peace" with it or to accept it in any way, even with "great difficulty" or with "reservations" or whatever. God hates lukewarmness (cf. Apoc. iii. 16).
If Fr. Pfluger is correct and rejection of Vat.II makes one sedevacantist, then God's rejection of Vat.II would make God a sedevacantist, in which case, the sedevacantists would be very happy.
