I think it was a mistake to ban EM.
Matthew set up a good means of exchanging information on CI. However, we do not agree with Matthew on all things. When Matthew listens to the conference from Toronto, he will likely ban Fr Pfeiffer.
This post may get me banned. Then maybe Roger, then Barbara, then ...
Sorry Matthew. You may feel that Father has lost the respect of the Resistance. I know Pablo has (and I am sorry that he has because he has also done a lot of good, most of which stays in the background). But banning people just because they disagree with you does not bode well for a board that is designed to exchange information. If SVs can have a voice here, why not "Pfeifferists" or just Catholics?
If your users have a high percentage of people who agree with your position (as I did for quite a while), then some of us may not welcome.
Some of us agree with Fr Pfeiffer. Even with the comments you will hear about in his conference and disagree with.
Sorry. Ban if necessary. Thank you for what you have accomplished to date and the courtesies you have shown.
Pax et bonum,
Brother Joseph TOSF
You are my brother in the Faith but you're NOT reading a word I said.
This is not about mere support for Fr. Pfeiffer.
I am only banning those who insist on a CULT-LEVEL of blind loyalty and obedience to a given priest. Any priest.
I ban all dogmatic sedevacantists for basically the same reason. They consider all those outside their small group to be non-Catholic. They can't get along with, or respectfully communicate with, most Catholics because they consider us to be heretics in need of conversion.
Likewise, the die-hard "Pfeifferite" (the type I am looking to ban) is deaf to all reason; they won't admit of the slightest possible fault in Fr. Pfeiffer; they repeat the same party lines ad nauseam.
I don't believe that describes you.
I'm the same way about accordistas. Some of them are willfully blind, and it shows in their speech/behavior. You know, the ones who won't admit of the slightest basis for the Resistance. They deny everything; even things that the SSPX has posted officially. Naturally, they can't get along with us reasonable and down-to-earth folk here on CathInfo. Sure, the aggregate CathInfo membership disagrees on many things. Many things HAVE no clear-cut answer. But at least we are all rational adults and respect each other as fellow Catholics.
I'm sorry, but anyone who can read Pablo's recent demonic missive without feeling any need to oppose him -- there is something defective in that person. I don't want such messed-up Catholics on my board. They cause people to want to pull their hair out, and they cause GOOD Catholics to want to leave.
