Fr. Pfeiffer attempts to defuse the situation

  • He didn't mention anything about Pablo -- so much for defusing the situation!

Here is the important excerpt from a letter sent to the entire Coordinators List from a Coordinator who spoke with Fr. Pfeiffer, and bears a message from him:

    Quote
Fr. Pfeiffer, as you know, has been preaching that when we go to any of the other Masses including the SSPX, we lose a little of our faith and our resistance every time we attend them. I quit attending my chapel here about 1 1/2 years ago. I do not attend any other Mass other then the Resistance Masses. My wife and I read the Holy Mass here at home in front of a little altar we have erected and make a spiritual communion.

Father wants all of us Resistors, especially the Coordinators, to quit the other sources, including and especially the SSPX.

So he asked me to write this little note and if you are still inclined to resign, then please try to find someone else in your group to be your Coordinator and be "open". He would ask that each Mass Center have a Coordinator so he can still contact your group and continue to come and say Mass for the others in the group. Please contact me by email if you are still inclined to resign. If you remain silent we will continue to list you as Coordinator for your Mass Center. Please understand that Fr. wishes this roster to be open from now on.

So now being a coordinator for an SSPX-MC Mass center involves embracing the Red Light position?

    No dice.

    My conscience forbids it.

  • More from Pablo (again, addressed to one of the Coordinators):

    Quote

Against my learned opinion, Father Pfeiffer felt sorry for you and placed you back as coordinator.

You have run your Chapel as a continuum of the Elitist SSPX; there are no Poor Souls that have been added to the Mass under your watch. Just more of your kind.

Some of us have been catechized to understand we must bring poor souls to Our Lord.

You absolutely knew the terms and conditions Holy Mother Church lays down that we all must follow. You took advantage of people's fear to make secret all within your grasp.

I don't care one tiny little rats behind what your opinion is of me.

I would like to add some good news to your depressing arrogance: If Father has someone pony up $ 40,000 for each of the next three years, he can hire a cook for the Seminary and have no further need for me.

Three years. Forty grand a year. Pocket change for you Trads.

I have slowly been making arrangements that my duties and responsibilities be taken over by others. I think this time I will be successful.

    ...

Your arrogance is life long, isn't it?

As I gave the command to place it on my sites, Padre was attending his Priestly duties in close proximity. He was aware a violation of protocol and procedure had occurred and trusted me to make it right.

    I moved swiftly.

I had absolutely no concern for Those of Immaculate Virtue Trads.

Forty grand a year doesn't sound so bad now does it?

When I leave you all I will take a good shower, put on a new set of clothes, and burn the ones I wore while among you all.

I will then endeavor to protect my children and grandchildren from Trads first, then the Devil.

I don't hide from anyone; nor do I keep 'secrets' I do practice Omerta.

  • This just keeps getting more bizarre.

There was a small group here that was trying to get Fr. Pfeiffer to come in to say Mass and I was giving it my full support. However, after the developments of the last two weeks I notified everyone that I am withdrawing that support and also my support of his seminary.

  • So he's the cook, huh...

I'm sure that he's not spitting in the food...

And he thinks "Trads" are even worse than the devil.

Is this some sort of joke for you Pete? What's your dog in this fight? As far as I ever knew you never supported the SSPX, let alone the Resistance.

Pete has always pretended that he is above it all, John.  He's too smart, he thinks, to come in among the unwashed.  It's just an act.  Don't let him bother you.   He's basically harmless.

I don't understand why it takes a $40,000 cook to replace Pablo.

Is he REALLY that good of a cook? They need a professional cook with 10 years' experience to replace him?

$40,000 is not entry level for a cook, at least outside of California. This seminary is in Kentucky is it not?  Boston is in the middle of nowhere. Cost of living (and consequently, wages) can't be very high there.

My point -- you could get an intern, volunteer, college student, or minimum wage employee to make whatever Pablo is cooking, I'm sure.

I have never heard any legends or rumors about Pablo's cooking ability. I'll admit, I could be wrong. But I'm guessing not. He's a pipefitter, not a cook.

I bet he keeps wanting to make "Devil's Food cake" for dessert.

Dog? With all the howling and hissing, it seems more like a cat fight.

That being said, I am trying to figure out why Bishop Williamson, who reportedly led the crusade to have the Oyster Bay Cove Nine expelled from the SSPX back in 1983, having warned Mgr Lefebvre against lending credibility to sedevacantists, is now himself gambling the Resistance's reputation and future on an alleged Marian visionary with more holes to her story than Annibale Bugnini's personal copy of the 1962 Missal.

    Creepy.

Earlier today, I noted that placing "MC" after the name of one's group is usually a practice of outlaw motorcycle clubs. Now we have Pablo stating he practices omerta, a code and practice ordinarily associated with the Sicilian Mafia.

I recall some pretty heated theological and canonical debate among the Sede Nine after they split into two factions. However, I do not recall any of them invoking references to or images of organized crime.

  • Be careful. Pablo the Chicano cook may start handing out kool aid with his next meal!

This has gotten a bit crazy if not cultish.  Even the SSPX of old never got so forceful about avoiding FSSP Masses as Fr. Pfeiffer is about the NSSPX.

This is getting nutty! The lack of tact and just plain Charity, passively approved by Fr. Pfeiffer is a bit more than I can stand.  I wonder what Fr. Hewko has to say about this cult like mind control???

  • Actually, Fr Violette always was very forceful about staying away from FSSP. I remember when he told us to stay away from an FSSP ordination of a man from our area.

Now, his advice would be different.

Thanks--I researched the word after seeing your post.

I think Pablo is making a veiled threat.
