Does Fr. Pfeiffer still hold that A.B. Moran is valid?
Essentially Fr Pfeiffer holds that:
1. William Moran was ordained by someone. He can't prove who ordained him but holds up the two year incardination in Toronto as proof the ordination was Catholic. This was in the 1970s.
2. Ambrose is a bishop because he was consecrated by someone, either Slippjy, the "8", or Grigori.
3. Ambrose is actually a Catholic because of the Anti-Ecuмenical Oath he swore at his Orthodox consecration.
4. Ambrose is Catholic because Ambrose said he is. The verification went something like this: "Hey Ambrose...you're a Catholic, right?" "Uh, yeah."
Fr Hewko on the other hand does NOT believe Ambrose is a Catholic. You will find proof of this in his "apology" sermon graciously provided by the Michigan group (remember Michael Saintz?)

Now, to my opinion--OLMC no longer cares if a man is Catholic, conciliar, or Orthodox; as long as he is a valid bishop they are going to use him for their needs. Complain about Ambrose too much and they just might pull a retired Novus Ordo bishop out of their hats.
It's interesting to note that Fr Pfeiffer, Pablo, and Greg Taylor believe Ambrose to be a Catholic. Fr Hewko, ManuelChavez/Martin, and at least a few seminarians who communicate with the outside world do NOT believe Ambrose is Catholic. Not much unity in that operation. I understand the Pfeiffer family is split on Ambrose as well.
