  • The one fella is wearing a biretta, which signifies jurisdiction.
    .
Traditional priests do tend to wear the biretta, though they shouldn't.
    .
But traditional seminarians most especially shouldn't wear it.  And if these two are involved in Boston (the OP gives no proof at all that this is the case, which is highly irresponsible-- I'm speaking as someone who is highly critical of that group, btw) they must be seminarians, since it's obvious to anyone whose met either Fr. P or Fr. H that they aren't the men in this picture.
"Be kind; do not seek the malicious satisfaction of having discovered an additional enemy to the Church... And, above all, be scrupulously truthful. To all, friends and foes alike, give that serious attention which does not misrepresent any opinion, does not distort any statement, does not mutilate any quotation. We need not fear to serve the cause of Christ less efficiently by putting on His spirit". (Vermeersch, 1913).

  • Anyone can buy the garb.  They may not Catholic at all.  Although I'm not sure why it would be a "scam" to beg alms if indeed they are Catholic.

  • Not Fr. Hewko. Not Fr. Pfeffer.  My guess is that someone, ahem, ahem, ran out of money and sent the hapless seminarians out to beg alms.  You, know, an "exorcize" in priestly humility.  Neither priest was in the state of KY when this incident occured, if the info. in the article is correct.

Madame, then tell us their names, or at least provide the clear photographic evidence for your accusation.

    .
My posting history will reveal that I am highly critical of them, and was before most were.
    .
I've always thought it important to substantiate my criticism when given publicly.  Since, after all, these are real people, and no matter how much wrong they've done, they still have a right to an earned reputation.  That was the issue.
    .
Thank you for posting the picture.  It does, in fact, show that these men are Fr. Pfeiffer's seminarians.
