It seems to me that one Sunday for Christ the King isn't enough.
We need to make it two Sundays or maybe three.
There is just too much stuff to cover for one Sunday.
This sermon is a good example: 55 minutes and Fr. Pfeiffer isn't done yet.
He had to cut it short at the end. He could have talked for 3 or 4 hours.
I am most appreciative of his treatment of the reasonable conclusion we are to
draw from the NewChurch change in the Calendar that moves Christ the King
to the end of November, displacing the 24th and Last Sunday after Pentecost and
the consequent elimination of the Gospel reading of Matthew 24 for that Sunday.
I know Novordiens who are oblivious to the fact that they have learned the
lesson Fr. Pfeiffer describes even though nobody but nobody has put it into
words for them.
It is a 'rule of silence,' not unlike the policy of +Fellay.
It's a teaching by innuendo.
It does not require pronouncement - all it requires is the ACTION.
All this FALSE doctrine required was the moving of Christ the King Sunday one
month down the line in the Bogus Ordo Calendar.
Well, we need to make Christ the King all the more prominent. Not only do we
need to conserve this Feast on the last Sunday in October, but also, we need
another Sunday. We need to make it a season.
