As Fr. Hewko provided in a recent conference at the urging of Fr. Pfeiffer, it can
be expressed as a syllogism, a 3-step logical argument consisting of 3
related propositions, a very simple intellectual memory aid:
Major: When the Faith of Catholics is in danger, you have the right to stand
up and defend the Faith.
Minor: But the Faith is being endangered by your own religious superiors!
Conclusion: Therefore, you can stand up and rebuke your superiors.
..........And when you do, what can they say, but "Be obedient! Respect your
superiors! It is a virtue to be submissive! We have the virtue of prudence!"
(When someone announces, "I have prudence," you know they're lacking in humility!)
