    • In Defense Of The Dead

    Fr. Paul Schoonbroodt was a good, humble, saintly, "warrior" Catholic Priest (who turned down Episcopal Consecration).  He was a personal friend of ABL's and mine.

    Whether always right or no in his personal judgements, he acted in accord with his conscience.  May we have the fortune of going to the grave with as holy a life behind us and as clear a conscience.

    The volume at maximum is insufficient to make the content of video 6
    intelligible.  Too many important words cannot be heard, probably because
    the microphone was too far from the speaking person.  This simple matter
    is the cause of far too many inadequate recordings.  Once the person
    who is speaking dies, you will never be able to get the recording again.
    You have to put the microphone up close to the mouth of the person or
    else you risk having a useless recording that nobody will be able to hear
    eventually.  These things degrade over time, so the original has to be
    really good quality if you want it to be any good at all after 20 years.
