I just heard from an reliable English source that Fr Paul Morgan has left the neo-SSPX on August 10.
He's now in France living with the Traditional Capuchins.
    Waiting for more news...

Earlier today I got another e-mail:

Also I have received an email stating that Father Morgan has resigned from the SSPX,
he was the superior in the UK 2 years ago.

It sounds like Fr. Paul Morgan has escaped the Titanic!

  • Computer monitors, oaths of allegiance, surveillance teams and brainwashing are not perfect.

Sanctity of life will be held in derision even by those who outwardly profess it, for in those days Our Lord Jesus Christ will send them not a true Pastor but a destroyer."  St. Francis of Assisi

I wonder if Fr. Morgan let that drop of beer touch his tongue (metaphorically anyway)
Good news indeed if Father has escaped from "The Village"

  • He won't be the last.  There are several that I hope make it out.

  • Okay ladies, let's not get too excited.

He has left the sspx to go another order which is under the same SSPX. It is a case of going from :heretic: the fire  in to the frying pan :fryingpan: .

Why is that? Because the capuchins are the WORST for giving the impression they are combatative when in fact they are doing nothing.

We have enough problems of our own in the resistance to be worrying about what the already-3-sacraments-approved-sspx is doing under their friend Pope Francis.

The expanses of Canada were not to his liking .....

Of course, leaving the Society is like leaving a train. Those who left early were quick to realise they were on the wrong train and jumped off even when it was moving. Those who left half-way were uneasy about something but were unsure what it was but got off anyway. Those in the final stages of their journey were faced with mechanical problems, so they hopped off and boarded another train ..... going somewhere else.

Talk to Bishop Zendejas or Fr. Ballini, they have contrary information.

  • Dear parishioners and friends,

I just received an email containing a copy of Fr. Gerard Rusak's email to the SSPX faithful of BC. Fr. Rusak is giving the text of the official statement from Fr. Couture about Fr. Morgan's decision to leave the Society.  You will find a copy/paste of Fr. Rusak's email below.

Let us thank the Lord for having given the light and the strength to Fr. Morgan, and pray that many more priests will follow his example. (It looks like British Columbia has a special grace of breeding Resistance priests!).

If Fr. Couture's intention, when he named Fr. Morgan to Langley, was to win back our Resistance parishioners, it backfired on him big time! God is a better strategist than any human being, how clever they may think they are!

    God bless, Fr. Girouard

    Dear Faithful,
    1. Here is the Statement of the District Superior of the Society of St. Pius X in Canada, Rev. Father Daniel Couture, concerning our former Prior, Rev. Father Paul Morgan, who announced his "resignation from the Society" this week.

I have a sad news to announce to you today:

In spite of all our efforts to convince him to stay with us, Fr. Morgan has announced to us, by email,  last August 10, his decision to leave the Society of St Pius X.  Thus, he will not return to B[ritish]C[olumbia] and we will have to reorganize our apostolate accordingly to the best of our means.

Let us keep all those priests who have left us in one way or another in our prayers.

Please continue especially to pray for all the priests of the Society of St. Pius X who currently serve you.

And then there are those who got off, then reboarded, only to get off again!  It can be tough sitting in an empty station...

    .

Well, for one, there's Fr. Morgan's way, of seeing the light and leaving of your own volition........

And for another, there is H.E. Bishop Williamson's way, of being unceremoniously shown the door..........

And then there are those who just "ride off into the sunset" and nobody ever knows what happened to them; whether they are even still continuing their priestly duties......

.....  which is exactly the case with Fr. Morgan. His loyalty to the Society was questioned years ago when there was rebellion in the air in the UK but he opted to remain leaving the rebels high and dry. I remember this hilarious 'note to the milkman' sketch on Ignis Ardens where he nailed a scrap of paper to a church door asking parishioners not to distribute unauthorised literature. And he officially disputed the assertion of the resistance that the Society was sinking.

Leaving the Society does not mean rushing into the arms of others that have done the same thing. The tendency is to create one's own kind of independence, having already departed from the mainstream. In time he may find he is quite an asset which in the right circles could reap a lucrative harvest.
