  • Heard today that Father Patrick Kimball is leaving the Society. That’s all I know at the time. Please pray for him.
My apologies, I had the wrong Fr. Kimball. Fr. William Kimball is who I was talking about.

Can anyone confirm with certainty which of the three Frs. Kimball is potentially leaving? There are three: Frs. Paul, William, and Patrick.

Fr. Paul Kimball is the uncle of Frs. William and Patrick, and they are brothers.

Fr. Patrick Kimball, to the best of my knowledge, is stationed out around Massachusetts right now, so if it was announced in chapels in New Hampshire/Massachusetts then it's probably Fr. Patrick Kimball.

Fr. William Kimball is currently stationed in Michigan, about to be transferred to the priory in Dickinson, Texas in August.

Fr. Paul Kimball is currently stationed in Veneta, Oregon I think.

So with all that said, can anyone  confirm with certainty which Fr. Kimball it is?

It is Fr. Patrick Kimball, who was most recently stationed at Ridgefield and served the Gilford and Weston chapels.

  • Fr. Paul Kimball is older, I think ordained by +Lefebvre.
One of these Kimballs is fairly young, probably ordained 10 years ago or so. I forget his first name.

  • I wonder why this is posted in "Resistance News"?
Is Fr Patrick Kimball Resistance-inclined? Could he be en-route to the Resistance?
His uncle, Fr Paul Kimball, if memory serves correctly, was with Bishop Williamson in the UK when he was cast out. I think it was he who made public the letters between Menzingen and the three bishops. God bless him. When that happened it was rumoured that Bishop Tissier said "He (Bishop Fellay) will have to resign now".

But he didn’t. I think it was for health reasons. He was treated pretty much like Bp. Williamson, sequestered away in a private chapel in Chicago or was it Detroit?  Bp. W. was stored in the attic in London. I can think of only one time Bp. Tissier was let out for Confirmations in the US. Were he younger and in better health, I think he would have gone with Bp. Williamson. What a powerhouse the Resistance would have been, but God obviously did not will it. May they both RIP.

Is there an “sspx only news” forum I missed? Fr. Kimball was our priest for a year. Based on my impression of him during that time, I would say it is more likely we went to the moon than he would become a resistance priest.

  • Let us pray that he has found the position of Archbishop Lefebvre. It is a great grace when any priest leaves the conciliar structure—especially the Neo-SSPX, which remains bound to the practical agreement accepted under Bishop Fellay.
