"...This scene has been deeply engraved on my memory, and I shall never be able to forget it", yes, that image would have been much better if you, and the hundreds of Priests and Seminarians in the tent, would have, following your lead, gone outside to exchange places with these old ladies, and these mothers with children on their arms. That would have shown how really you cared about the faithful. I am sorry for you that you find beautiful and consoling to see these old ladies and young mothers stay in the rain...

But one issue with this specific sentence: that Fr. Pag."... exchange places with these old ladies, and these mothers..."
  I didn't watch the 6 hour video, so was Fr. Pag in the sanctuary during the consecrations? The sanctuary is off limits for the faithful. Can we even have a sanctuary in a tent for that matter?
Once a mass has begun, the celebrant(s) cannot leave the sanctuary, he  ('they' for concelebrations) must absolutely complete the entire Sacrifice of mass. 

It would have been extraordinary to witness Fr. Pag. plus 100's of priests exchange places...one for the history books.
Fr. Girouard is asking too much I think, hyperbole maybe?

I was at High mass once, and it was during Lent....An altar boy fainted from fasting, and cut his forehead on a kneeler. The officiating priest was focused on the Mass, and had no concern about the altar boy's condition. And I wasn't about to hop over the communion rail to help. Some others carried him out of the sanctuary, and then we carried him to a bed.

So the bottom line is that nothing can interrupt the Mass.

Agreed. I was thinking much the same thing. Most of Fr. Girouard's commentary makes good sense, but not the above. I'm surprised that he would think that it would be okay to interrupt the mass, especially one as important as this one.

IMO, Fr. Pagliarani should have perhaps apologized in that communication of his, and said he was sorry about the situation. 

Oh, like Wow!! Stonewall!  I am reading a book  "The Church and Her Enemies", by Michael Muller, C.S.S.R. dated abut 1877.  I have read books on Fɾҽҽmαsσɳɾყ and Fr. Fahey and they are great  and necessary to read.  But this book is different that it has " Oration Of Herbert A. Read, ESQ Pronounced At Le Roy, July 4, 1828 to an assembly of nearly 1,000 persons.  It is so good reading!! Can't put it down.
