Fr. Pfeiffer will surely rally the troops and he leaves a very inspiring impression on all where ever he visits.

Excellent news for all the Irish across the isles and this might be the appropriate song for this occasion:

  • I don't expect to meet Fr Pfeiffer though. It's excellent news he is travelling over as the Irish response to matters has been muted. A few here and there have been vocal but generally no outrage. To be fair the Irish District is hardly the largest so not really the thousands of the 'secret people' who one day will speak.

  • In the conference he gave in Australia, the part about priests is good. Sadly for a variety of reasons the SSPX has never increased in Ireland. With the probability of the FSSP finally setting up a permanent base here, we are in for interesting days ahead.

A few years ago, the SSPX didn't move in to the city of Limerick. The Institute of Christ the King did and now even attract most, who attended the Mass via the home of the late Deirdre Manifold.

The Institute Christ the King got about 40 people at their 1st Mass in Galway. For all the years having Mass in Tralee, the SSPX don't get many people. Many opt for the Indult in Tralee. Set up no doubt to scupper Tradition.

  • If Fr. Pfeiffer is now competing with the SSPX in Ireland which is Fr. Morgan's territory, then this suggests a parting of the waves in the GB district in due course between the hardliners and softliners .... or does it? I heard Fr. P is also coming to England to do what? My sharp ears do not detect any hint of an apostolate here ..... or is Fr. Morgan something of a golden boy? Confusion and secrecy continueth .....

It's not fair to say there is no apostolate in England. What is accurate is hardliners  and softliners.

Fr Morgan is one of the better SSPX priests. I don't see Fr Pfeiffer as competing. He is a priest of the SSPX. One of the better priests also.

Where I would part company with SSPX people in Ireland is their support for Dana, an ex MEP and the Christian Solidarity party. I'm not a fan of either though don't think badly of folk, who support them. They are not my cup of tea. Dana is very ʝʊdɛօ-Christian heritage type.

I don't imagine Patricia Mc Keever and her gang turning up in London, though some Irish SSPX folk are still drawn to her Catholic Truth.

Never worry and always go with the hardliners.

  • Only for the fact I dislike cities, I would like to attend ''Holy Joes' in London. A radical SSPX chapel. Not what is used to be as many people are leaving the multi culti London.

  • Great news! Please pray Father has a good reception in both mission fields. The Irish, in particular, have been  lied to miserably the last fifty years-- and , quite literally, robbed of their faith AND their heritage from St. Patrick by the one- world illuminati , assisted by the mushy and down- right decrepit pres-byters.
So , God speed to Father and the SSPX faithful!

About 15 years ago the late Charles O'Connor (formerly of Cape Town, RSA) wrote that there were about 150 people attending Mass at Dún Laoghaire, almost all of whom were under Couture's skirt.

I may be missing something here but after many months of new initiatives carried out by Bp. W, Fr. Pfeiffer, Fr. Chazal, etc. independently of the SSPX, are we to assume that there is now irreversibly a new entity in the trad world called the 'loose association'?

What I may be detecting here is a tendency to trade on the past where folk still pretend the Society is the same with all its national linkages and reflections but detached from conciliar Rome. If we agree the Society is now definitely not the same, then there should be clear signs of a parting of the waves in the various districts. Bp. W had three years to 'work on' the GB mission but strangely without  much apparent effect. This may of course be a a period of transition while priests and folk sort themselves out but I am not holding my breath. Things deferred keep on being deferred.

My family were among the original purchasers of the London church and yet I have never visited the place and unlikely to now it is Menzingen property. And I suspect Bp. W has ended his visits there ...... which puts the whole affair into vivid perspective. The Recusant may be fighting its last battle there (without its publication) but I think its days are numbered there. Fr. Pfeiffer is forcing the issue with his welcome conference and the die will be cast when Fr. Morgan starts preaching against his intrusion! I like it when people make decisions!

They are still under the skirt of Fr Couture. The priests there are for an agreement. There are exceptions among laity but generally a pro Fellay chapel.

To be fair, very few in Ireland are that bothered.I still believe they will follow Bishop Fellay.

The one positive thing is the very necessary visit by Fr Pfeiffer.

  • When I say people will follow Bishop Fellay. What I mean is from their perspective, there is no sufficient evidence that an agreement will be made with Rome. They have no reason to doubt or not trust Bishop Fellay. 'Cassini' stated this regarding Bishop Fellay in Ireland.

I don't think badly of those, who are pro-agreement. I disagree with them but what has been seen is the viciousness of those for an agreement. The use of the term 'sectarian' 'rebel' 'troublemaker', the convenient word 'sede'.

The information is there. Nobody attending the SSPX objects to discussions with Rome but in reality, they are negotiating.
