There is another sermon for this same day, Dec 9th, 2012, Second Sunday
of Advent, found on
http://www.inthissignyoushallconquer.com/father-joseph-pfeiffer
given in Denver CO.
To a large extent it is the same sermon, with similar announcements at
the beginning, appropriate for the Denver location.
The Denver recording is higher quality because the microphone is closer
to Fr. speaking, whereas in this Post Falls recording, the microphone is
located on the video camera held among the people seated, ...
Someone, some day, may be interested in comparing these two sermons,
for they are extemporaneous as are all of Fr. Pfeiffer's excellent sermons.
And while they cover the same topic, they are not identical. This is great
for those, like me, who cannot get enough of these most inspirational
sermons of Fr. Pfeiffer. For that, both transcripts would be most useful...
The linked sermon,
on VLC media player, is very easy to understand.
Is is most effortless listening, and the content is more powerful than
the Post Falls sermon. It seems that Fr. had had some rest between
the two sermons, probably on the flight from Idaho to Colorado, but
that would only be about an hour or perhaps two if the plane had a
delay for whatever reason.
At minute 9:00 he tells about how the Dies Irae was originally written
to describe the season of Advent, originally part of the 1st Sunday of
Advent liturgy, but now it is consigned to the Requiem Mass. [Fr. does
not mention how the Novus Ordo has eliminated the Dies Irae
altogether, for it is too 'uncomfortable' for the modern ear, and the
false Church therefore 'stops our ears' and keeps us from God's truth.]
At minute 14:00 he begins to talk about the wisstaff, the walking
weapon, the staff, the Rod that has a flower growing from it, and what
this flower means. The weapon is the tongue of the priest and the
breath of the mouth of Christ is the fire that burns the damned. But
this same mouth treats the just with equity.
17:45 The earth is properly filled with the knowledge of the Lord like
the waters of the earth fills the sea.
20:00 The air we Christians breathe is different from the air the
worldly breathes. Our air is filled with the knowledge of God.
24:00 We are not just preparing for the coming of Christ, we are
dragging him in! He wants us to force Him to be with Him.
At minute 25:30 Fr. continues to speak about the militancy of the
Church militant, and the "Catholic water of the faith," the level of which
that's "coming down." And like dying fish that are starved of oxygen
in their water, so too the faith of Catholics is dying when the Catholic
water level comes down in these days. He goes into a lot more detail
here than he did in Idaho. The duration of this Denver sermon is 55
minutes, as compared to 38 minutes in Post Falls, 17 minutes' difference.
On several topics covered in each of these two sermons, the same
core message is given, in the Denver sermon, more is given, and it
is delivered with more emphasis. As powerful as the Post Falls one
is, no doubt much more motivating and remarkable than any other
sermons given in Post Falls for the Second Sunday of Advent (!), the
one given later in the day at Denver by the same Fr. Pfeiffer after he
had had a little time to think about what he has to say, and perhaps
a bit of rest (the human mind works on a topic of interest while we
sleep and it becomes part of our rest to develop our thoughts, which
is why it is so helpful for a student to rest before an examination), is
even more powerful.
Minute 31:00 the refusal of the Romans to set aside the Council, and
the surprise of Bishop Fellay that they would do so -- but that is the
very foundation of the Society, for Archbishop Lefebvre refused to
set aside the Council (but in the opposite manner from the current
Romans' refusal to do so).
36:00 The prayer of +Fellay asking for the lifting of the so-called
excommunication of Archbishop Lefebvre is a
wicked prayer, and it
is one reason we are being
punished now in the Society!
37:00 - 42:00 False ecuмenism. The Pax Priests of Hungary, who
would not condemn Communism. Cardinal Josef Mindszenty would
have nothing to do with that false peace, and we should not either.
And he says, "I can't believe the Romans lied to me!" But we have
been the ones who have been calling the Romans liars for the past
40 years! What you
can't believe is that they're telling the TRUTH!
How is it that the Commandoes, the ones that are the Navy Seals
against Modernism are the ones that can't believe that the
Modernists are still Modernists?? Foolishness!
Inexcusable!!And no one's angry! And what about this great silence??
45:00 There is a great silence everywhere in the Society. Silence
that is NOT from God. There is a great silence. We are not talking
about the Modernism of the Pope! Even when speaking about
the things that are bad in the Church, we are starting to talk like
the conservative Novus Ordo. Read Fr. Lorans in DICI.org - this
week and last week: if you did not know
it was from DICI, you could never guess that a Catholic wrote this
editorial, number one, you'd never guess a Catholic wrote it; and
much less, a Catholic priest; much less a Catholic priest of Tradition;
much less a Catholic priest of the Society of St. Pius X! Last week,
he speaks about the Feminists, doing some event where they're
walking around naked and wearing no shirts.
46:00 Half naked, and he says, "...you know, this isn't really,..." he
doesn't even say it's bad! He just has some kind of weird commentary
on it. This week, he talks about some guy who believes that their
celibacy is outmoded in the Catholic Church. And that the Pope
shouldn't be selecting bishops. And that these are leftovers of
something that's gone and past. He doesn't mention that it's wrong.
And he mentions nothing about Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is not
mentioned once in the past two weeks, not mentioned once. The
Catholic Faith is not mentioned once. And error is not condemned.
He doesn't even condemn the lesbians that he talks about last
week, he doesn't even condemn the man, the liberal who doesn't
believe in priestly celibacy this week. He says it makes an editorial.
It could have come from Fox News! Read that stuff regularly and
47:00 YOU WILL LOSE YOUR FAITH. But who's writing it? SSPX.
They gave us an editorial last week on SSPX.org - what you need to
know: St. Thomas Aquinas on what you need to know! You don't
need to know everything! The old SSPX used to tell you: Fill Your
Knowledge! Just like Isaias chapter eleven. Fill your home. Fill
your books. Fill your mind. Fill your entire life. Fill your workplace.
Fill your cars. Fill everything with the knowledge of the Lord! And
be against the enemies of God. That's what we used to do. That's
what we used to say. But the new SSPX, the Neo-SSPX, what does
it say? Well, you must have confidence in your superiors! Remember
that way back in the 1970's? Have confidence in the bishops.
48:00 We must know our faith. We must know the errors. We must
know the basics on how to condemn them. We must be aware of the
wickedness that is going on in the world around us, and we must
know the answer, which is the Gospel and the divine Truth. And we
must have confidence.. that even if we're having Mass in a little
motel room, or in a basement, like this morning in Post Falls with 63
people in a basement, we have God on our side. And the enemy,
with all his red buttons, with all his beautiful cathedrals, with all of
his authority, with all his power, with all his - whatever he has, with
the technology - is poorly equipped. Because they have not Mary
on their side. We carry Mary in our lives. We carry Our Lady in our
hearts. And She forms Christ in us.
49:00 He's coming soon, to a planet near you, and He's going to
judge the living and the dead...
Saint Anthony of the desert...
At minute 50, he says that the enemies of God fear the intervention
of the Blessed Virgin Mary because they know their time is short, for
Our Lady has said that she will destroy the devil in a marvelous way,
and it will happen when all seems lost. It is our part to remain faithful
to Her Son, and to persevere in faith.
51:45 Bishop Fellay wants a human solution. He thinks the crisis will
last another 40 years, 50 years. He thinks we're going to to slowly
convert them! They are
too far gone! They cannot be
slowly converted! 52:00 Only miraculous intervention can convert them, and we can't!
And Our Lady was very clear: She will bring the victory. It will
happen as it happened in Mexico, except this time, it'll be the whole
world! The missionaries were not able to convert the Mexicans. Do
you know what one of the reasons was? Because they told
them that, "The Mass is a sacrifice!" And the Mexicans said, "Oh, I
like sacrifice! We're the experts on human sacrifice!
Show us a
sacrifice! And then the priest said, "Dominus vobiscuм, et cuм...,"
And the Mexicans said, "THAT'S not a SACRIFICE! Where's the
BLOOD??" And they were not impressed by the sacrifice! They were
used to seeing their babies' hearts cut out, their husbands' hearts cut
out, their enemies' hearts cut out, blood all over those pyramids in
Mexico, and they said, "That's not a sacrifice!" And they didn't
convert.. very, very few. And then Mary came, on December the
12th, 1531.
53:00 And ten million converted. . It was the greatest conversion
in the history of the world! Not one saint! Not one notable
missionary! Only the Blessed Virgin Mary. And that's the way it's
going to be at the end of the world. And Our Lady was so very clear
about that: Our Lady of La Salette, Our Lady of Quito, Our Lady of
Akita also, all of the apparitions of Our Lady have said, it is going to
be the Marian victory when She shall destroy the devil - how? In a
marvelous way: Stick around! And we'll see! What difference does
it make? So long as we remain faithful to her and we believe. But,
she's the Mother of God. And she's the most perfect of all. But
when Jesus Christ disappeared at 12 years old, she did not
understand. "Son, why hast thou done so to us? Thy father and I
have sought thee sorrowing!"
54:00 So we should not be bothered that the Mother of God did not
understand the infinite love of her own Son, how are we going to
understand her own ways? We shouldn't worry too much about it.
How is she going to defeat the devil in a marvelous way? I don't
know. But it will be nice to be around; and to be on HER SIDE when
it happens! And then we will all know. All that is necessary is that
we have confidence in the coming of Our Lord, Jesus Christ,
recognize that every day we're getting closer, and that when the
victory comes, as long as we are faithful, and do not seek a false,
human solution to this grave, supernatural problem in our world
today. Mary will bring the victory. If we keep her in our minds and
in our hearts: She will make sure her Son comes. She doesn't go
ANYWHERE without her Son. [I'll close there?] God bless you all.
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost.
Amen. . 54:59
Each of these two sermons have their attributes. Anyone who hears
only one of them will have some sense of the message but he who
hears both will have a greater sense of the message.
Likewise, a transcript of one is not a replacement for a transcript of
the other. They are both important transcripts.
