I would like to thank Fr. Pfeiffer for this most remarkable sermon on the
great Feast Day of Our Lady, which had been held from time immemorial
long before the dogma of the Immaculate Conception had been defined.
I attempted to get to 3 Masses yesterday, and actually made it to one,
yet this was the only sermon for me, for various reasons. Not only is
it a most memorable sermon, but it is the best Immaculate Conception
sermon I've ever heard. Thank you again, Fr., and chrstnoel1, for it has
made a big difference to hear this. Your voice, Fr., is music to my ears.
And it makes me sad to find it is not always more common for this to be
the case with your listeners. What a world.
They say the voice of Arius was soft and meek and "humble." That's what
they say. I guess some things never change. The mystery of iniquity was
at work even in the time of St. Paul (II Thes. ii. 7). Arius didn't "drop in"
until 300 years later.
I wonder if St. Paul knew it would take that long?! God probably spared
him the burden of that knowledge, as He somehow mysteriously did for
Jesus as well.
This is a most remarkable sermon. Didn't I already say that?? If Padre
Pio needs some help transcribing it, maybe I could start at minute 20 or
something and see how far I get. Just let me know. For me to do that I
have to listen to it about 5 times before it's over so it takes a lot of time
commitment.
