“Here is a better explanation of what GREC is (from a November Cathinfo post):

I have been working with Gentiloup to provide a translation of the article "Pour la nécessaire réconciliation" that was posted on Un évêque s’est levé ! this week......

Seraphim, this is more than interesting, it is pretty incriminating evidence against the present SSPX leaders!

Question...With your discoveries of this GREC "deception", and many of us do not know about it, can you make a new post just on this topic?  And hopefully others (internationally), can contribute in the replies to build this case.

Much appreciated...

Hello Machabees-

That which I quoted above was not my own review, but an older thread I found/pasted for general review and assessment.

Seems to be from here:

I was talking to some people today about these topics, and it dawned on me that those priests, regarding this post of Fr. Haynos’ strong sermon (on a pulpit), and by any others, on his hammering Catholics that “the teacher is above the teaching…”, as with, the discoveries within one of the other replies earlier stating that: “The Pastor, Fr. Vassal, gave a sermon (on a pulpit) on a very crowded All Saint's High Mass and told the faithful they needed to expose their children to temptations, possible grave ones to build their virtue.”, that BOTH of those NSSPX priests were INSIDE OF THE CHURCH on a PULPIT giving a SERMON =which means= they were WEARING A STOLE!

What does this mean?

Wearing a STOLE, is a function of the priesthood to teach, govern, and sanctify.  Therefore, any priests wearing the STOLE, are there to teach in the AUTHORITY of the Church.  That is, when a priest, in STOLE, teaches about the Faith and Truth, he is speaking for God.  However, when a priest, in STOLE, purposely tries to miss-direct the “sheep”, for whatever reason, is a misuse of that authority, in deception of the Church, and in front of our Lord -is a grave Sin for the priest!  That is sad.

This is no judgment on them personally, I do not know, God knows all hearts; however, what is being said here is if the Priest, in STOLE, does purposely try to miss-direct the “sheep”, to sway them to another direction away from the TRUTH within this serious crisis of the SSPX, which is about the Faith, such as it is being done from the NSSPX pulpits, in STOLE, is pretty serious.

It is grave for anyone to do…but especially for a priest in a STOLE…God have mercy on them.

Thank you for informing us of the function of the Stole.  I remember a post not long ago mentioning, as I recall, the priest wearing or not wearing the stole during a sermon and I wondered why it mattered.  I have no idea now where that post is or what thread.  Just another thing we have to be careful of.

Technically, according to Pope Pius XII, a priest is also supposed to wear his surplice at Mass, or else he is not properly vested.

How many priests do you know that wear their surplice at Mass???

Look it up!

Surely not an alb, surplice and chasuble? Is there a vesting prayer for a suplice in the prayers befor Mass?
