As a consolation, a couple different laymen did record audio, so at least that much will become available shortly at the usual sites.
In the meantime, here are a couple bullet points from the conference:
1) Why the muffled reaction from his brother priests to the crisis in the SSPX:
A) Some refuse to acquaint themselves with the resistance side of the argument, for fear that it will compel them to resist (e.g., Fr. Hewko ran into an SSPX priest at the airport who told him he had not read Bishop Fellay's doctrinal declaration).
B) There is peer pressure even among adults to go with the flow.
C) Fear of incurring bad reputation by being labeled rebels.
2) Regarding the growth of the resistance:
A) Fr. Arizaga (OSB) already has land and 4-5 postulants for his monastery in Mexico!
B) His great uncle is a canonized saint who was a loyal bishop during the Cristero wars (so he descends from good stock).
C) A new SSPX priest has joined them in Asia, but Fr. Hewko couldn't remember his name.
D) He said that Fr. Jahir in S. America (who was friends with Bishop de Castro Mayer) has joined them, along with his 14 solid monks.
E) And of course, Fr. Tomas Aquinas is with them as well.
F) Fr. Hewko observed that more religious have been canonized than secular priests (and I note now that there are many more declared religious among the resistance then secular priests).
G) He noted that the German Carmel has also sided with the Resistance.
H) My own reflection is that for all our impatience regarding the growth and organization of the Resistance, what has been accomplished in only 1 year actually is rather remarkable: We have 3 monasteries, 1 Carmel, and a seminary starting in the fall.
I) Fr. Hewko also mentioned he was concerned about getting seminarians because, while he knows several SSPX seminarians, they all seem to have been turned toward the new SSPX.
J) He also mentioned that traditionally, with some exceptions, most vocations come from large families, because the children learn early on about sacrifice, poverty, etc. I thought that was an interesting observation.
3) Regarding Fr. Pfeiffer:
A) He mentioned Fr. Pfeiffer gets much criticism, but has a true priestly spirit.
B) This spirit, and the desire not to leave anyone stranded is a source of much criticism, because people accuse him of spreading himself too thinly.
C) "Fr. Pfeiffer has faults, but I have many more, as do we all."
4) Regarding Bishop Williamson:
A) He has been a tank on the battlefield for 35 years
B) He needs the encouragement of the faithful
C) Many long-time priests who should know better are becoming accordistas because they have battle fatigue.
D) Write to Bishop Williamson and express your gratitude and encouragement.
5) You local SSPX Priest:
A) You need to talk to him and encourage him too.
B) All men are susceptible to battle weariness.
C) This should also constitute one of the causes above about the lack of reaction among SSPX clergy to the liberalism inside the Society: Tired of fighting.
