  • Next Tuesday, Sept. 17th

Haven't had him here since February -- we look forward to hosting him here again!

Fr. Pfeiffer was just here 1 month ago -- let's pray that we have another good turnout so things can keep growing.

  • I'm glad for you, Matthew. I hope they can swing up to Green Bay one of these days.

But let your speech be yea, yea: no, no: and that which is over and above these, is of evil.

  • The minimum seems to be 12 adults, but for this visit it looks like it's going to be higher than that.

There are always at least 5 children too *grin* and last time we had a total of 10 children.

This will only be the third visit. The last visit was 1 month ago.

Fortunately, the San Antonio resistance is somewhat economically viable. We took up a collection last time, which paid for the gas to drive down from Dallas several times over. Father stays at CathInfo headquarters while he's here, and says Mass in the CathInfo chapel. :)

It's nice that all the hard-earned donations from the Faithful go to Father and not to a hotel chain. Money isn't everything, but it's certainly necessary for the material needs of a travelling apostolate. Helping fund Father's apostolate is certainly better than the alternative (drawing off funds provided by others).

As St. Paul quotes Our Lord as having said, "It is a more blessed thing to give  than to receive."

I'll admit, though, that we're probably still "in the hole" from the first visit. Both fathers FLEW IN to be here.

    I wish!

    Maybe someday...

That's the nice thing about having a discrete building -- it opens up such a possibility for the future.

That's what I keep telling people.

Just like material prosperity tends to dampen spiritual fervor (it's a shame human nature works that way), deluxe "replacement parishes" tend to suggest the notion that the Crisis is over. It also makes the parishioners tempted to compromise the Faith rather than give up the wonderful setup they have.

In theory, a person could be just as faithful to the fight for Tradition at a large, well-equipped chapel as he would be attending Mass in a garage or workshop. And obviously examples of this exist in the real world. I'm sure St. Mary's and Post Falls have their fervent, faithful members.

But when you look at the statistics, (take 1000 people in each situation and form a percentage) I still think you'd find more compromisers at the large chapels.

  • It's a house on a few acres. Just our family home. I was being a bit facetious calling it "CathInfo HQ" -- hopefully others got the joke.

  • The Mass and conference were a success, once again. The discussion afterwards with Fr. Hewko was very informative and pleasant.

    I recorded Father's entire sermon -- 30 minutes.

I have video as well, but the file comes in at 2.2 GB, so that's a lot of uploading. For now I'll just release the audio.
