Father Libietis ...... and he errassed 23 years of Protestant teachings.
Does anybody know where Father Libietis is now? Did he get booted from the SSPX? I prey that is not true cause I have been on the fence.....
He had/has a way of showing you the right path without making you an enemy.
I have no idea where he is. I believe some members of this forum do know, but I assume he chooses to remain hidden. And, he is no longer a member of the SSPX. That information came to me from another well placed SSPX priest. He is still a priest which is a good thing. I was told by another SSPX insider (not a priest) that the dismissal was a matter of obedience. Disobedience is a very common reason for dismissal. Translation is "you don't see things my way, then you're out."
He is a good priest, we must pray he follows God's will. ...

I can't speak for what's happening in the SSPX specifically, but I see a lot of
the same cues and earmarks that were going on in Cardinal Mahony's archdiocese
about 15-20 years ago. I knew a seminarian who was studying in St. John's
Seminary, Camarillo CA, part of the LA Archdiocese. He was very traditional-
minded, and wanted to learn about the priesthood in the traditional sense. His
persistence with this goal was at odds with what the professors wanted to teach
the students. He discovered that other seminarians like himself were being
expelled one by one, and a new trend was coming into play, whereby in order to
be accepted in the first place your principal test was whether you were
accepting of other seminarians who had ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖ leanings. He told me that
any applicant who was openly ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖ was practically guaranteed entry,
plus a lot of financial help if needed, but to be approved you were at least
required to have no aversion to it. Admitting that you were hostile to it was
a sure way of being rejected, and the reason would be that you were found
lacking in a sense of pastoral care without prejudice, or words to that effect.
In the official paperwork, they avoided any mention of "the unnatural vice."
He then discovered that his friends who were expelled had all concluded by
way of their own observation that the real reason for their removal was one of,
or a combination of three:
1) They had been found studying Latin in private,
2) They had been discovered to have a serious interest in the Old Latin Mass
liturgy and/or rubrics, and/or 3) They had been caught praying the Rosary,
usually in a CLOSET! He also told me that when they were given their "walking
papers," the official reason for their expulsion was NEVER the real reason, that is,
one of those three, or any combination thereof. Those 3 were NEVER mentioned
in the docuмents that went on file anywhere. No, there was always some
OTHER reason that they put down on the paperwork, the most common being
persistent disobedience to authority. (Surprise, surprise!!)
Therefore, if any researcher or journalist wanted to look up data for why some
seminarians had left the seminary, they would never be able to obtain the true
story by looking at the records. Likewise, asking the administration would result
in being referred to the unreliable records. They would have to go to the trouble
of making actual contact with the students who had left or had been kicked out,
and obtain an interview or at least ask a few direct questions on the phone.
And some of these ex-seminarians could not be reached for various reasons,
so obtaining solid data might be rather challenging.
This whole topic was very upsetting for me at the time, and I did not want to
believe it, but after hearing it confirmed by other sources I had to face the
reality that it had been going on this way. This was one of the reasons I finally
abandoned the Novus Ordo liturgy and have settled exclusively on the CTLM.
It was the reason I had heard was why certain TLM students relied on the
SSPX for their seminary formation: because that was basically the only viable
option.
