  • Yet again, Marulus, to respond you have to reframe the argument to being about the pope, as if the issue were only one of sedevacante. It is not.
All jurisdiction stems from the pope, correct?

  • All jurisdiction stems from the pope, correct?

Since it doesn't matter regarding the question at hand, let us assume it's true. And let us assume a legitimate, true pope makes an ordinary. The ordinary received his jurisdiction from the pope, yes? It would "stem" from the pope under the assumption.

Then let us assume the pope dies. Does the ordinary who received that jurisdiction from a pope lose it upon the death of the pope and a subsequent sedevacante?

No. His power of jurisdiction remains with him, as the power of jurisdiction does with the Church.
Rom. 3:25 Whom God hath proposed to be a propitiation, through faith in his blood, to the shewing of his justice, for the remission of former sins"

Apoc 17:17 For God hath given into their hearts to do that which pleaseth him: that they give their kingdom to the beast, till the words of God be fulfilled.
