Fr. Doran sent to New Orleans, will live by himself

  • Fr. Doran is being transferred to New Orleans, where he will be saying two Masses every Sunday there.

But here are the curious elements:

    1. He will be living by himself; he will not be staying in any priory (for example, the nearby priory in Dickinson, TX). Normally, the SSPX priests serving Louisiana are based out of Dickinson, TX.

    2. The SSPX hasn't been keen on letting people know about this. It's all been very much on the down-low.

    3. Might I suggest that we all pray for Fr. Doran. The Resistance could certainly use another priest.

  • Wasn't he pretty isolated in NY too though? I had that impression.

Father Doran is my priest (until he leaves in August). As for it being a secret, he told us he was leaving for New Orleans a few weeks ago after Mass.

Does he live by himself presently?

He lives with another priest in Long Island named Father Grosche (I am sorry, I do not know how to spell his name) and they alternate saying Mass at my chapel.

  • As far as him joining the resistance, I have never heard him criticize the resistance and I know that one of the resistance priests (I believe it was Father Hewko) mentioned that Father Doran was rather conservative and he wondered aloud in one of his sermons that Father Doran might join the resistance. I know that Father Doran still speaks well of Bishop Williamson and does not treat him like a pariah.

  • I thought that I heard that Fr. Doran was at ICC in Post Falls, ID.  Someone said he preached at one of the Sunday Masses, and that he pulled no punches.

Father Doran was Prior at ICC for five years back in the 1990's.  I still have many tapes of his incredible sermons while he was there.  These were the building years when the Dominicans were starting their school in Post Falls and people began moving there in droves.  Father was very much a part of and responsible for much of the growth of that area.  And, yes, "he pulled no punches" but his spiritual strength caused that community to flourish.  It hasn't been equaled since.

If I had to guess which priests would be objective in their views of the developments in the SSPX in the past decade, and also sympathetic towards the Resistance, Fr Doran would be one. Whether that translates into them believing it is God's will that they join is a different story.

  • It gets hard to use the SSPX for your Sunday Latin Mass since ( given the changes and new orientation of the SSPX ) it is becoming rather hard to "wish them well.." The local parish has a Latin Mass on Wednesdays at 7pm. The priest is very good. Knows about the SSPX and likes Bp. Williamson. It's nauseating to hear SSPX'ers say that Williamson is "dividing the tradition". Since: 1. They're NOT the only traditional order. 2. They don't own Catholic Tradition. 3. Bp. W didn't ask to be expelled bit rather was expelled after upsetting the ѕуηαgσgυє of Satan over the Holhoax ( Jєωιѕн Weapon of Mass Guilt ). 4. The Sup. Gen. negotiates in secret unlike the ArchBp 5. The Sup Gen changes msg. depending on his audiesnce 6. the Sup. Gen is business partners with a Zionist rat. 7. The Sup. Gen speaks to his priests/bps as if they were 10yr-olds.
Anyway....we just want the SSPX to replace this soiled, untrustworthy, compromised Sup. Gen. Many of us came because of the Arch Bp. Is it too much to ask that the Sup. Gen. try to emulate  ( someday )  St. Marcel?

  • Ooops..."audience"..." but was rather expelled"..."h0Ɩ0h0αx": Oh, by the way, read up on the REAL death/torture camps the Jєωs put the Germans in after the war. Jonas Alexis at veteranstoday had a great article on that recently.

  • "Local priest is very good.  He says the Lain Mass on Wed. and likes +Williamson."
Hmmmm???  But, his ordination may not be valid, he offers the "Mass Bastard" Thursday through Tuesday, and probably gives Communion in the hand with alter girls at his Novus Ordo Masses.  No doubt there may be issues at some SSPX Masses, but they would be a far cry from the local Novus Ordo Latin Mass down the street.

Yes; that was a few weeks ago.  I understand he was in Post Falls that weekend for a wedding.
