Fr. Dreher was at Winona with Ladislaus and me.

Requiescat in pace! :pray::pray::pray:

Yes, his passing came up in the middle of another thread, a long one, since I had mentioned that a good choice for a US bishop would have been Fr. Vicente Griego (same class with Father Dreher), so I mentioned Fr. Dreher only in connection with Fr. Griego (by association), when MaterDominici pointed out that he had just passed away.  I'm glad he at least got his own thread.

I remember Joe (as we know him) being rather quiet, almost shy ... and he was charged with taking care of computers and various other electronic systems at the seminary, and just appeared to be a kind and gentle soul.

That's probably a sign for the rest of us to prepare also, since Our Lord could call us in at any time.  I'm not in particularly good health myself, and so, quite frankly, am surprised that I'm still around ... because I've been working two jobs, 80 hours per week, for over 5 years now ... and that really takes a toll.  I was able to suck it up just fine for the first year, a little less the second, and at this point I feel like death warmed over, waiting for the shoe to drop.

Requescat in pace ... :pray: :pray: :pray:
