Fr. Chazal knows Mr. Moran is not a bishop. He must be referring to Fr. Pfeiffer (?). His "friend" Tetherow has several SV ties.

In no way do I defend Mr. Moran's so-called "orders", but there are those out there that still do, despite the evidence against such claims. I hope Fr. Pfeiffer's ambitions of becoming a bishop have not caused him to lose all sense of reason...

Still, I thought Fr. Pfeiffer and those who follow him still argue that Mr. Moran is a "Catholic Bishop"? As I remember it, Mr. Moran was allegedly "consecrated" by Cardinal Slipyj and then again "secretly". Isn't Fr. Chazal referencing this (debunked) argument? I could be wrong.

This might be wrong, but there is a story that Fr. P. is under the impression he is meant to be a bishop because of a private "prophecy" to that effect an acquaintance had some time back.  Am only saying this because, if the story is true (not the prophecy, just the account of it), this might explain why he seems so full steam ahead at times about things - or everything! - and does not consider that he's possibly being misled, since "it's in the cards."

This looks like a poor translation of something.  Father Chazal has very good command of English and there's some pretty bad English in there.  My guess is that "dubious" (in whatever original language) got translated as "double".

In this is he any different from Bishops Fellay or Williamson who believe in unapproved prophecies that the SSPX is divinely ordained to save the Catholic Church?

All of these men seem to have a need to interpret the future of the Church through the SSPX,  themselves and from the mouths of so called visionaries.
What do they have in common?, they are all of the SSPX. Was their something in the waters of Econe that made them this way or is it just that they share the same personality traits that would make one subject to these visionary types or perhaps they have a dimension of personally unrecognized pride which the SSPX environment has brought forth in them?   It is indeed a curious coincidence.
