What about Fr. Valan? Did he not remained in India?

Fr Valan indeed is in India and officially still with the SSPX. I have heard he has been requested to take up a post in another country. At present he is serving the Chennai chapel where there was an upheaval caused by the visit of Frs Chazal and Pfeiffer. I really don't know who is really responsible for his situation. Sure, when previously based in his homeland, India, he had a personality clash with the Prior  and was removed to the Philippines. He was not in favour of allowing in foreign volunteers, or the presence of alcohol on the Priory premises. This is what he told me personally, and I do hope I have remembered it accurately. In India, alcohol on Church related premises is mostly frowned upon. On the part of the SSPX-Asia, it seems that it has/had put a print apostolate of Fr Valan under scrutiny.

Alcohol? Wine?

Beer, Whiskey, Wine, whatever .....

Since 30th May rumors have been floating concerning SSPX India.  Fr J.Pfeiffer had injected tremendous amounts of money in Chennai, India to convert a privately owned premises into a chapel. Fr Chazal is said to have given personal funds towards obtaining an elevator for this chapel. Apparently no official paperwork exists concerning this whole project. The owner of the premises, who has not signed any docuмent with the SSPX concerning this project, allowed Frs Chazal and Pfeiffer to use these premises when they visited Chennai recently. The SSPX stopped saying Mass there because of this, and now Fr Valan ( who seems to have allied himself with Fr Pfeiffer) is looking after this place.

A few weeks ago Fr Couture went to this chapel on a Sunday and distributed a handbill to the faithful who were coming out after Mass. It said that the funds raised by the Pfeiffer brothers (T and J) were obtained from SSPX faithful and that in June 2012 the owner of the premises received $8000 approx. as 5 years advance rental money.

Out of all this mess, it seems, if rumors are true, that Fr Brucciani, the current Prior of the India Mission, has been given the bullet. Some are saying that he has been made the scapegoat of this whole episode.
