I haven't heard anything about him in years.

It's strange, some priests I hear about every month at least, while others I haven't heard about since their ordination 12-15 years ago.

  • There is a Cathinfo post about him from a few years ago where it is said that he spoke out against the resistance. I am asking because I know him and he is from my chapel and I was thinking about him and was curious about how he was doing.

I heard he was servicing the Dakotas but that was probably about two years ago.

  • I don't know if I mentioned in that past CathInfo thread about Fr. Arabadjis, but I did know him in the Seminary.

And I also probably forgot to mention --

That if there was a seminarian that owed Bishop Williamson big-time for his vocation, it was Fr. Arabadjis.

As far as I know, he believed that as well in the beginning. Maybe he doesn't anymore.

But he was in the original "humanities year", and I think it was +Williamson's influence that convinced him that he should try out a vocation. I think it was your classic "+Williamson saw his potential and believed in him" thing. You know, the old "if it weren't for this one professor, I might not have ended up working at NASA..."

  • I was informed by private massage that Father is still stationed in St. Mary's Kansas. That is where he was located when I last saw him, on vacation in New York a few years ago. I was also informed that he is in poor health, so I will be praying for him.

  • Father Arabadjis said Mass at my chapel today. He often does when he goes home on vacation. His mother did not come to Mass today. I was sitting near the front and I noticed that he prays the Mass very quietly so it was hard to follow along with the Mass. In his sermon he emphasized Our Lady of Fatima, the Consecration of Russia, and the Rosary Crusade. His is really big on Fatima and on the Rosary Crusades.

  • If he is in Saint Mary's then he is very well hidden, as I have not seen him. I am sure he is staying at District HQ in Platte City, MO. Based on his sermons, before he left, he was against the Resistance and against Bishop Williamson.

  • He's been staying at our rectory at St. Vincent's here in KC.  He was at a cigar club party we have monthly here as a guest of my friend.  Got into a debate with him on the necessity of conditional ordination of N.O. come overs.  He touted the party line as well as on the agreement, confirming that the opinion on the inside is that it IS going to happen and soon, a question of justice on the part of the "pope".  He still has his sense of humor but has ZERO recollection of the beer run He and I, as well as my oldest son, went on when we attended the party of Fr. Dailey, a friend and former student of mine.

Good guy, don't have to agree on everything with him to love the man.   I actually saw him Monday last picking up daughter from play practice.

  • He used to love Bishop Williamson but that doesn't necessarily mean anything.

    Clark, how is his health?

  • physically, seems ok.  I've heard he's had "issues"  not sure what that means tho.  Don't really think I want or need to.  I'd guess he's on "sabbatical" for what ever reason.  I know his Father passed in recent years and I can only imagine the impact that could have had.   He still has his sense of humor, if that is an indicator of anything.
