Although that term is used by German Churchmen like the bishop of Regensburg (passive aggression) and Jesuits, it is rejected by Pope Francis and the Vatican. The word is 'impaired Communion.' It just is an error to call it schism.

edit: going on the loose language 'schism,' 'legal,' and so forth, it might be better if Fox sticks to Donald Trump and other topics they can grasp, and leave the Resistance in peace.

Of course, to the Vatican, the worse anyone can be said to be is "impaired Communion", "partial Communion", or whatever.

Of course, to the Vatican, the worse anyone can be said to be is "impaired Communion", "partial Communion", or whatever.

The Modernist ultra, Jesuits, German bishops and assorted other heretic think nothing of calling the SSPX schismatics, while claiming (falsely) that Moslems worship the one God. Given the sympathies of the present Papacy, 'impaired' or whatever is better than nothing. PF did say that SSPX priests in Argentina sought and got his blessing, and he was no Traditionalist as Archbishop of Buenos Aires (it can be said that the collapse of Conciliar vocations on his watch perhaps helped Tradition which is decently strong in Argentina).

This is rather odd. Why would SSPX news even make it on Fox and ABC? I tend to think that it's all part of a (continuing) public scourging of Bishop Fellay and the SSPX as an initiation. I hate to think this. I still pray for the SSPX's leaders to remain with the Archbishop's Catholic line of thinking. Bad sign, though, public media and all.

These two stories, especially the FOX one, reminds me of what a google search brings up when you google SSPX. All the negative buzz words are there. There is no in depth understanding or reporting on the subject as if they actually interviewed someone, just a short AP report. There is a paragraph in both articles about the Archbishop that is either or close to word-for-word. Has journalism resorted to internet cut-and-paste? These articles, as short as they are, do more to brand us than actually report our arguments.

Guess what Fox News? Many within Novus Ordo Catholics know that the Pope is in error when it comes to teachings that go against God and scripture and they aren't happy with it. This includes Novus Clergy too. There was even an elected official that boycotted the Pope when he visited DC. It's not just the SSPX.

It might simply be that Fox News is home to quite a number of Conciliar catholics who see this as actual news. Other networks are likely to broadcast similar stories because they can see the ratings Fox garners.
