I would like to know where these “poor” refugees get their money to build mosques that cost million to build?
I saw in Ireland poor refugees seeking asylum but can afford to return to their homeland for the holidays.

Like I said in the post on the Syracuse church, there's a pattern of the SSPX claiming that the property or church is not repairable and then buying something well beyond the cost of fixing a perfectly good building. They're wasting money like a drunken lotto winner. They move from the city where it's poor and affordable to move into expensive areas where families can't afford to live they're not moving in the country but to the suburbs where it's comfy, to go with the easy going comforts of lax modern life. Squeezing the pockets as they go.
This is what happened to the diocesan properties.  The poor is further neglected.  They blow money on research to find out that most Catholics don’t know their faith.

Unfortunately, this is the world we live in.  Where your heart is, so follows your treasure.

It is easy to throw stones and sit back and say “should do this...should do that” but if parishioners weren’t willing enough to fork over $$$ to maintain the Church what makes anyone think they’d donate money for demolition and cleanup. That’s not cheap...not cheap at all, and you can’t just abandon a building either.

Ultimately, the way the tree leans is the way the tree falls.  Sounds to me like there was no longer enough people or money to keep the doors open.

Sad state of the Church everywhere.

According to the 1917 Code of Canon Law, a Catholic Church had to be completely destroyed if it was closed, in order that such things could never happen.

I guess the former SSPX churches which recently fell into Muslim and Baptist hands are a barometer of sorts of the SSPX’s drift into conciliarism:

If ever there was a reason to adhere to the old Code, this was it!

But an SSPX accepting the new Code, well, this is what you get.

Note that it was never an acceptable excuse to claim the building was too expensive to repair, and simply sell it, as the SSPX has been doing: It had to be destroyed.

Here’s an interesting article (by a blog I do not follow) which came up in a Google search:

This makes sense, do you have the canon number for this?
