  • To clarify the previous thread, for those who have clearly a poor grasp of the English language.

To follow the apostolic line of a Bishop is saying that we are resistance Catholics, not sedevacantists, and not Novus Ordo/indult etc.

It clearly says nothing about Bishop Williamsons support or lack of support on the truth of this issue. Any attempt to construe it that way is malicious.

We do not hesitate to use the word malicious because it is feigning a misunderstanding. For us this proves all the more the absolute confusion cause by believing the nonsense that we are on a spinning ball. Their minds start to spin....

Mr. M, feel free to lock this thread. We are not trying to start a conversation, but clear up an issue.

  • We've gone through this several times already.  By putting +Williamson's picture in your videos, people can easily come away with the impression that +Williamson is a flat earther.  So please "support" +Williamson privately, and not as a group.  It's the same phenomenon as when some politician receives the endorsement of the KKK.  Even if the endorsement was not sought, it has a negative impact on the candidate and will be used in attacks against him.  So, if you TRULY support +Williamson, you'll cease supporting him publicly as a group.

I find it interesting that you'll denounce most globe earthers as borderline heretics, but yet you still support +Williamson, who reportedly called flat earth theory nonsense.

You didn't really pay attention to what the OP said.

To equate belief in a flat earth to the KKK is an example of the extreme lack of charity, and sin of presumption. You presume, as others here, that there was ill-will or deception involved. That's what tradition has come to for some, unfortunately. A nasty bunch.

Fact of the matter is, the majority of people out there(even Catholics) ridicule fringe beliefs like the Flat Earth, and it damages +Williamson's credibility if people are led to believe he's a Flat Earther when he isn't.

  • Please stop being a complete moron.

To think that BW accepts the earth to be flat would be a CHARITABLE thing to do. Because it is the truth (the flat earth). And the globe is a lie straight from the pit of hell. As well as heretical in my opinion.

You globeheads truly are a sad bunch.

Due to our weak human nature simple name calling (ad hominem attacks) are often effective in silencing our opponents.

    Good points!

Also, the almost universal alignment -- one would not be wrong in perceiving it to be a parasitic relationship -- of the flat wrong Flat Earthers with the Geocentrists has helped to boost the former at the expense of the latter.

Finally, I should mention that if I wanted to discredit Bp. Williamson's views on the Holohoax, I would be hard pressed to find a better way to do it than to leave people with the impression that he was a Flat Earther.  Another way that this is actually done is by presenting His Lordship's photo on their webpage.  This can be seen at the following link by clicking on the drop down box labeled "More" and then clicking on "EVENTS & NEWS."  See http://flatearthtrads.com/

  • no one cares anymore.

This thread has been moved now, where it will never be read.

Claiming that it is ONLY ad hominem attacks you are getting is only digging your dishonest hole even more. Re-read my posts, and learn to pay attention.

There are two types of person who would interpret things the way you say

    1. A mentally retarded person.

    2. Someone who has a bad will.

So which is it? Cos the facts show clearly that there is no attempt to claim Bishop Williamson. Your whole argument skirts around the truth of the flat earth issue.  Because you presume the flat earth is stupid.

So just come out and admit that you are acting wickedly, or inform us of which type of mental retardation you have: autism, dyslexia, down-sydrome, etc. If this is the case, I will have the greatest mercy and pity on you, but a web forum is no place for you.

I don't see how the statement on the flat earth forum, which says that flat earth trads follows the apostolic line of Bishop Williamson, in any way says that +W is a believer in a flat earth.

You're right that many people ridicule beliefs like the flat earth. But referring to it as a "fringe" belief only enforces the idea that there's something wrong with it.

Trads tend to only care about defined Church doctrine and little else, except maybe political intrigue. Anything that is not officially defined as doctrine AND goes against modern science is considered suspect, even though there have been Church Fathers who by interpreting Scripture literally, believed in a flat earth.

    .
All flat-earthdom syndromers are accomplishing is adding to Bishop Williamson's difficulties and opposition.
    .
He has never said he supports their silly fantasyland, and has come out clearly critical of all such subjectivist dreamland drivel.
    .
Not only is flat-earthdomism contrary to right reason, it's contrary to the general principle of objective truth.
    .
Bishop Williamson has absolutely nothing to gain by even giving the impression he sympathizes with flat-earthdomism.

  • It's is perfectly normal to carry a variety of videos on one's channel and only serves to show the varied interests of that person.  Whoever believes that one video sitting next to another video on a channel means the two videos are of the same opinion is either stupid or...?
