  • Why do you have to attack and call people names?  And what does charity have to do with butting out outside where it couldn't possibly bother even the most asthmatic, unless of course you're going to stand six inches in front of them for an extended period of time.  I've lived with smokers most of my life and my daughter is asthmatic so I've observed both first hand.
Men smoke.... including many of the priests I've known and yes they put ashtrays outside the rectory and the church if the other priests in the rectory don't smoke, and some still smoke in the rectory, after all it's their home.
    Stop being so picky.
No one should not smoke.  Did Jesus smoke?  And some of these are women that are smoking too.  Also, children are watching too thinking it’s ok to smoke.  It’s not being picky.  People die from cancer.  Children shouldn’t be near smoke period especially if they have asthma.

Many people die from second hand smoke.  Also, smoking in or near buildings is a fire hazard too.

If you care about your loved ones and priests, you should encourage to end their unhealthy habit by asking for God’s help.  People and priests. need help to end their venial sins.  Smoking, cigar smoking,  over eating, junk food, vaping, marijuana, drinking, cocaine, etc are sins against the flesh.  A Catholic should try to live a healthy life.

I didn’t call anyone names.  So don’t turn it around just because you either smoke or support smoking.  Sodomy is a mortal sin by the way.
May God bless you and keep you

  • You're offended that a group whose bishops and priests are mostly French of all people smoke on church property? France is a cigarette advertisement with an army and a navy. :laugh1:

And learn to discuss in good faith and go after people's opinions or not at all.
God is offended.   Islam, sodomy, abortion, rape , sex abuse by clergy, war  etc is taking over Europe.  It’s not my opinions.  God is offended.  Remember the Vendee.
May God bless you and keep you

If God gave us tobacco, maybe we should not disimiss it out of hand. Nicotine has been shown to assist in treating Alzheimers, Parkinsons and other diseases. God didn't put all the cancer causiing in cigarettes.

Should we also ban whisky, after all, there is no evidence Jesus enjoyed a scotch?

Although I'm a non-smoker, both my grandfathers smoked the pipe and I love the smell the pipe smoke.

  • Then there is the cost of tobacco and alcoholic beverage.  Even going to Wawas  for coffee is getting out of hand.   It adds up.  That’s money to be used for basic needs especially for parents with large families struggling to provide.

Correction. God didn't put all the cancer causing chemicals in cigarettes
