  • The following, with the quote from Bishop Fellay, is taken from Fr Edward MacDonald's Epiphany Sermon:

Baptised children need to be taught the truths of Faith. When they reach the age of
reason they must make an act of Faith and determine to grow in a knowledge of the Faith. By being taught and studying especially the catechism.

Vatican Council II changed this. The Council rejected the mission that Our Lord Jesus
    Christ had given the Church:
Go and teach ye all nations baptising them in the Name of the Father
and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost.

The Council preferred to discuss things with unbelievers and perhaps learn from them.

Bishop Bernard Fellay, SSPX, imitating Pope Francis, aka “Papa
Humble” equates this with humility. “A humble person is open to the other. He lets the other person speak. He always finds something to learn or receive from others, because he considers himself small in God’s sight.”1 What Saint has ever found something to learn from unbelievers or heretics?

Can you imagine St. Teresa of Avila asking What does Herr Doctor Martin Luther have to say? No, rather in her great and true humility she said we reject what he says. Likewise St. Anthony, the Hammer of heretics, knew in his true humility, that his mission was to convert the Cathars not to learn from them. He had the truth, they were in error.

  • Wow!

    That really sums it up.

That is what you call FALSE humility. For example, if a priest were to degrade himself in such a way that the priesthood was disgraced.

Just look at JP2 or Pope Francis, or most of the recent Popes! They think they're being humble, but they're actually disgracing their office, which is actually tearing CHRIST down, not practicing humility.

There is humility, yes. But we must respect our souls as created by God for heaven, our bodies as temples of the Holy Ghost -- and our minds as created to know the Truth and remember always that lies and error come from the Father of Lies.

It is not humble to disrespect the truth, remember that. Lies, error, and especially false religions (such as Vatican II) offend God and make Him angry. Who are YOU to disagree with God about such a thing! That isn't humility at all.

I am sure that Fellay's quote only applies to the "friends" of the Vatican II religion, like the Jҽωs, Eastern Orthodox, Protestants, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, Anamists........ in other words to all the other false religions like the Vatican II religion.

You see, there is no money or prestige in being with the resistance or sedevacantes, the money and prestige and titles is with the Vatican II religion. THAT is why Fellay kisses up to them. It is a profit deal.

Bring back the good old days!

"Some preachers will keep silence about the truth, and others will trample it underfoot and deny it. Sanctity of life will be held in derision even by those who outwardly profess it, for in those days Our Lord Jesus Christ will send them not a true Pastor but a destroyer."  St. Francis of Assisi

Attending Mass at a Resistance or Sedevacantist chapel, or holding to those opinions is not infallibly heretical or evidence of apostasy.  These are opinions, however strongly held, and can therefore be discussed and debated without sin.  I generally don’t consider myself a Sedevacantist, however, I am open to discussion because Sedevacantists have several convincing arguments.
Conversely, take this topic to Broadstairs.  Someone knocks on +Bp. Williamson’s door wanting to dialogue that 2+2=5.  How much time will His Excellency give him?

Please provide the full context.  How do you know this is not something akin to St. Paul's "be subject to all men"?  Are you sure he was referring to other religions?

  • Why does it matter what Bishop Fellay thinks?

There are 1000s of bishops ranging from conservative to liberal.  They are nearly all more liberal than him.  I suspect +Vigano is more liberal in many ways.

So why does the resistance, which is now getting on for 9 years old not build itself up rather than focusing on what it considers to be yet another modernist compromised bishop like Fellay?  He's not even running the SSPX any longer.

Tell people what the Resistance is, rather than what you are not.

  • I sort of agree about the irrelevance of the SSPX as a keeper of traditional Faith.

They’re like a cadaver in a med school lab that we Catholic militants keep examining to confirm the autopsy report.

The SSPX body is preserved in formalin, but we can still see evidence of the diseases that killed it:

    Gallicanism, masonry, ecuмenism,
Love of the world $, moral cowardice, arrogance, sex scandals,...etc.

The Society’s corpse is good for educational purposes of how not to lead Catholic tradition.

Each priests from the "Resistance"  is different and each speaks for themselves and not the others, unless they specifically say they are speaking on behalf of a particular group, for example, Bishop Faure speaking on behalf of the SAJM. So at our SAJM chapel, we do not experience a "focus" on Bishop Fellay or the SSPX. The SSPX might be mentioned once in a awhile such as when the article of Vaccines came out, but to say there is a "focus" on the SSPX as if that is a continuous theme in sermons or discussions, is not the case at our SAJM chapel.
