  • Update:
Fr. Zendejas is now saying Mass every Sunday in Danbury, CT as well as Houston, TX and San Antonio, TX. He has one priest helper, which is how he is able to offer weekly Mass in two locations.

    For more information:
    http://www.StDominicsChapel.com

Father Zendejas said his first Mass today in Danbury, CT for the resistance parishoners there.
Father says that he will be there for the next year saying Masses up and down the east coast (from Boston to Washington DC).
I think this might be the shot in the arm that the resistance needs.

Considering how irresponsibly low the 'leader' of the Resistance has come in the last two weeks, this piece of news come in as a sweet treat I'm not even sure we deserve... In any case, I'm very grateful for God's mercy. May others priests and lay folk alike join the real fight abandoning the thirst for nonsensical, delusional or diabolical visions!

  • That's great!

I guess he wasn't interested in working in France?

Matthew was thinking his removal from the priory here would shake up something, somewhere.

"If I could only make the faithful sing the Kyrie, the Gloria, the Credo, the Sanctus and the Agnus Dei ... that would be to me the finest triumph sacred music could have, for it is in really taking part in the liturgy that the faithful will preserve their devotion. I would take the Tantum ...

Are you referring to Bp. Williamson as the "irresponsibly low" low "leader?"  I ask this because Bp. Williamson has not cast himself as "the leader" of the Resistance.  So perhaps you are referring to someone else.  In any case, "irresponsibly low" is a pretty severe characterization.  Why don't you try to keep your powder dry a little longer, until the whole story unfolds?

I was looking for a copy of the sermon myself but I was told that Father Z requested that no one record his sermon today.

St. Francis Xavier threw a Crucifix into the sea, at once calming the waves.  Upon reaching the shore, the Crucifix was returned to him by a crab with a curious cross pattern on its shell.

  • I told you all he was a "solid, good priest". I'm pleased, but not shocked or surprised.

I suspected -- for good reason -- that his transfer had to do with his attitude towards the classic SSPX position (positive) and Modernist Rome/Vatican II (negative).

Priests like Fr. Zendejas had to make a choice eventually. When they get transferred, it tends to shake things up (either for the place they left, or the place they get sent to).

  • He is a true priest-son of ABL and a great example to all his brother priests  who are praying for the grace to do the right thing.

Let us continue our prayers for these priests - that Our Lady will help them make a stand for Christ the King.

Many people do, I've only met him once, myself. I think this will be a good thing and I'm happy to hear it.

  • There is also talk that Father Z is currently working on securing his own retreat house where he can run Ignatian retreats again. I've been on retreat with Father Z in the past and it was a great experience.

  • To be more specific about Fr. Zendejas --

He is a dedicated priest. He recently drove hundreds of miles to say a funeral Mass for a relative of an SSPX parishioner. The deceased was in Laredo, which had no Traditional Mass options (Fr. Voigt just started a Mass center there a couple weeks ago)

He is zealous, apostolic, and full of love for the Faith. He is active enough, but he obviously has a solid prayer life to back it up when you look at his results. He is for publicly professing our Faith.

He is a faithful spiritual son of the Cristeros -- those manly, brave souls that energetically worked for the reign of Christ the King. He has many of the same virtues we read about in the lives of Mexican saints.
