  • Oh Fr. Scott would be a great addition to the Resistance...He visited St. Michaels on LI a couple of times while I was there and he was very good...I mourn what's been done to the SSPX.

I can assure you all that Fr Scott's transfer to South Africa is a punishment for having opposed the "new line" of Bp Fellay since last year...
Like in Communist China, you cannot oppose "Chairman Fellay" because he's always right!
Father is trying not to show his disappointment about this decision, because he's a meek priest.
However, we regret he doesn't step out of this neo-SSPX.
He'll be  a good leader for the Resistance.
    Let's pray for that.

Please do tell how Fr. Scott has always opposed the new line of Bishop Fellay.

"I have loved justice and hated iniquity; therefore I die in exile." - Pope Gregory VII

Here is a great example of the thumb rig in action:  ctarozzi
makes one post and gets 7 likes with this, (which makes
sense), then Sienna629 quotes it, adding a famous line from
a holy pontiff and gets just one thumb............ down!

Then this one from CNC Bill gets two more down!

Which is worse:  the thumb system, or +Fellay's arbitrary
    troop moves?

(That ought to be good for a few more downers!  HAHAHA)

  • To be fair, does any organization have to justify to it's inferiors why it makes the decisions it does. I fear some Trad's here might be infected with the Americanist liberal Democracy - the concept that we are all equals and have equal authority. The Superiors of the SSPX, regardless of what we might think of them don't have to answer to us.

We might not like/agree with the moves, but we can't base our faith on personalities of the clergy. It is about the truth and faith, not personalities; who we like or don't like. That would be childish to say the least.
