  • This letter is great!

Besides Father Pheiffer's lesson in "Fellay-logic" he had to set Fr. Couture straight on Canon Law.

Hollingsworth's analysis on IA said it best:

    Fr. Pheiffer Quote:

Does this mean that now I can criticize compromising with Rome? Now I can say no deal with Rome until Rome converts? (Yesterday this must have been wrong since yesterday the SG had a different idea. But today it is true since today the SG has changed his mind.)

    Hollingsworth:

For me, this is the crux of the whole matter. The questions will never be answered by +Fellay, because he knows that to do so would hasten his ultimate demise. The fact is, and it can not be emphasized or repeated enough times, Bp Fellay now agrees with the positions taken earlier by Bp. Williamson, Frs. Chazal and Pfeiffer, to name a few. If the superior general were to admit in any way that these clerics were right all along, he would be instantly served up for breakfast. His leadership tenure would be virtually over.
"Some preachers will keep silence about the truth, and others will trample it underfoot and deny it. Sanctity of life will be held in derision even by those who outwardly profess it, for in those days Our Lord Jesus Christ will send them not a true Pastor but a destroyer."  St. Francis of Assisi

Suppposingly, at the flip of the coin, +Bernard Fellay, SG of the neo-SSPX must say "HEAD, I LOOSE, TAIL, YOU WIN". :applause:
"It is impious to say, 'I respect every religion.' This is as much as to say: I respect the devil as much as God, vice as much as virtue, falsehood as much as truth, dishonesty as much as honesty, Hell as much as Heaven."
Fr. Michael Muller, The Church and Her Enemies

  • So where are the doubters this time? This letter has some of the same typing
errors in it that were found in the letter to "Mrs. XXXXX" on another thread.
If this one is really from Fr. Pfeiffer, it adds credibility to the other one because
    of the common typos. FWIW.

Other than that, it now looks like Fr. Couture is getting sloppy in his attempt at
trying to muzzle the prolific Fr. Pfeiffer. It's nice to see some fortitude in response
    to such inexcusable admonitions.

His letters read like his sermons.
    It's Father's "Kentucky-style".

Several years ago he once said (and we all laughed) that
to end the crisis in the Church, more priest from Kentucky would be needed.

Little did we know how right he was.

Actually, have we ever seen anything official in print, such as a letter on Menzingen letterhead, signed by Bishop Fellay, where he tells us that he was deceived by Pope Benedict XVI?

All I have seen is "it was reported that Bishop Fellay told a gathering at Econe that he was deceived by Pope Benedict"

I thought "it was reported that" amounts to an unsubstantiated rumor, which we are not supposed to believe.
