At the elevation of the host there can be heard a bell ringing three times,
then for the chalice three more bells.  Did Fr. Pfeiffer set that up too?  Yes?

And if so, is it still being done with the new pastor?  No?

And if discontinued, what do the parishioners have to say about that??

I'd really like to know.  Because there is a linked video on CI for a Missa
Cantata (they call it High Mass) in St. Nicholas du Chardonnet in Paris,
where the bell tower repeats the 5 bell sequence for each elevation.
Even seeing that on video was very impressive.  I think I would be quite
    impressed in person.

I have some questions about this video - can anyone give the answers?

What about the Communion rail -  was that already there before Fr.
    Pfeiffer came???

How about the angels guarding the altar - what are they made of??

Did Fr. P. install this tabernacle??

I watched the video twice and I saw all the things mentioned, parking lot,
right side and driveway, main entrance, family room, painted confessionals,
carpet, tile on the altar steps, pulpit, repainted statues of Our Lady and St.
    Joseph, wood window frames.

But there is nothing about the tabernacle, the angels flanking the altar,
the altar itself, the Communion rail, or the bell (tower?).

Fr. must have been a bit shaken at his last Mass because he said it
was the "Assumption of Our Lord," August 15th, 2006.  The chant was
provided by the monks at OLG Monastery, Silver City NM, but where is
St. Michael's Chapel located?  City?  State?  Nowhere on video does it
    say where it is.

  • Farmingville, Long Island, I am quite sure.

It looks like a grateful parishioner put together photographs and music to make this beautiful tribute. Methinks that the monks singing is from a record and not related to that last mass of Fr Pfeiffer.
