    • SIGNIFICANT STEP FORWARD IN OUR WAR.- FATHER FAURE IS APPOINTED CO-ORDINATOR OF THE RESISTANCE

    It is with great joy that we announce the news that Bishop Williamson has appointed Father Jean Michel Faure as Co-ordinator of the Resistance.

    Father Faure is perfectly suited to this pivotal role for several reasons:

    1 – He was one of the first SSPX priests ordained by Archbishop Lefebvre and, therefore, is one of the longest-serving members of the SSPX. He has participated in every Chapter of the Society.

    2 – He served as the right arm of Archbishop Lefebvre in Latin America for decades. Father Faure enjoyed the unlimited confidence of the Archbishop (for example, Father Faure was given by the Archbishop full access to his personal correspondence). In fact, Archbishop Lefebvre wanted to consecrate him bishop, but Fr. Faure refused for reasons of humility. Thanks to this great friendship and confidence, Father Faure has had the grace to know and understand our Founder as few men did or do.

    3 – He has enormous experience, being the founder of the SSPX mission in Latin America: Superior of the South American District, founder and Superior of La Reja Seminary, and founder and Superior of the District of Mexico.

    4 – He deeply understands, as few do, the integral Combat for Tradition and the Social Kingship of Christ against Liberalism and Modernism.

    5 – His priestly zeal is tireless. He possesses a great thirst for the salvation of souls and wide counter-revolutionary experience gained over the years since his youth when he fought in the Algerian conflict.

    Due to the above, we find ourselves deeply grateful to Bishop Williamson for appointing this extraordinary and holy priest to the fundamental task of co-ordinating the Resistance.

    I met Fr. Faure in Virginia.  IMO, an excellent choice!  He seems firm, but even-tempered.  Most Resistance priests and faithful are generally anything but even-tempered!  As a teacher, I've tried to imagine the following priests as five or six year old schoolchildren in my first grade classroom.  Fr. Pfeiffer, Fr. Chazal, Fr. Voigt, Fr. Hewko, Fr. Dardis, Fr. Girouard, Bishop Williamson....throw in the mix most of the lay-Resistors like those on CI and the German Carmelites....Few "mild" personalities here!   I'm not sure that I might take early retirement!
    We must pray for Fr. Faure!

    Do you have any assurance that the people who run this blog have the authority to speak for +Williamson. Note that no link to a statement from His Excellency is provided, nor is any docuмent of appointment quoted.

    I do not doubt your word or anyone's good faith, but all hearsay needs to be considered intrinsically suspect, especially in these trying times.

    With respect, this is still hearsay. That is, neither +Williamson nor Father Faure is on record, speaking sua sponte, confirming this announcement. It is not unreasonable to be skeptical about this matter absent such confirmation.

    He doesn't want to be in charge.  Being charge would enable him to appoint someone.

    With no one in charge the resistance, as an organization, is limited to management by committee.

    If he has finally decided to make his next move, it is probably because his hand has been forced by someone.

    And since YOU don't belong to the Resistance at all, who are you to ask such a question? I think you are only here to cause strife amongst the members of the Resistance, and sow seeds of dissension where you can.You  made clear on IA that you hope it will fail. It is not like you have ever been open -minded about the subject, at all. You are neo-SSPX all the way, all the time, no matter what.So your purpose here is negative.

    This forum is supposed to be supportive of the Resistance. This Tradical/Camel has pushed his nose under the tent, and now is inching the rest of the way in. Continuing to allow  him here,IMO, is like allowing a small infection to fester until the whole limb has to be amputated.
