Title: Father D. Hewko Sermon - Apology
Post by: sea leopard on November 16, 2015, 10:25:48 PM
Your little flock Thanks You so very much.

As they say in the Army; We got your back.

Rest assured we never left that position

and our support for you is now stronger than ever.

May the Good Lord continue to Bless and Keep you,

and provide a tail wind always on your journeys.

"Blessed are they who mourn, for they shall be comforted."

Deo Gracias.

Oh...................................

Oy vey!

After 2 months he still does not say where he was wrong, where the Seminary was wrong and why they did what they did DESPITE the advice they have received from numerous people.

he used +Lefebvre "I went to far with the deal with Rome" to explain he was tricked by The New Saint Josaphat (blessed by John Paul II himself!). Fr Hewko analogy is, at best, the most terrible thing of this talk.

I think he was tricked because Moran has 4 degrees in psychology.

He said "Tradcatknight is a good source of Catholic information" (around 21:00 mark)

Should someone send him the video exposing  Eric The Great Catholic Monarch Gajewski?

Around the 25:00 mark Fr. Hewko also compares Sedevacantists to liberals  said that "+Lefebvre had to reject them as well"

Well... that's why Fr. Hewko makes bad judgments, he does not even have common sense, he is incapable of running a seminary

I bet he can't even teach a seminarian properly. That's why it's a disaster what's going on in the OMLC.

He must understand he is not capable of teaching the Catholic Faith properly. He needs to realize that he needs to study and read more, until then many more Ambrose will come.

What about Fr Pfeiffer's apology?  Will he find the humility to do so?

This incredible lack of judgement and discernment is just another reason that place should close.

Of course still nothing about the scandals highlighted by Fr Voigt or the activities of apostate Paul Hernandez. If he loves Mexico so much why doesn't he leave everyone in peace and go and live there?

What minute mark is the apology?  I just listened to the whole thing and heard no apology.

I listened to wrong sermon.  HAHA.

"a friend who is not a friend".  Pretty strong condemnation.

One down, one to go.

I'm trying to listen now, but it's a bit muffled.  All I heard so far was he said people were over-reacting.  So this is an apology where he begins by talking about other people's wrongs?

I turned it off.  At least here it is muffled.  I can't understand what he is saying.

"overreactions"..."Bishop Ambrose"...

This is no apology!  It's like the pathological wife-beater apologizing for not helping wash the dishes!

No, a true apology would be contrition for his complete lapse in discernment which allowed himself to be taken in by a con-man, and for placing his flock in grave spiritual danger, nothing less.

Some apology. For the faithful to make an uproar over an obvious charlatan simulating mass and hearing invalid confessions was overreaction?!

When known and trusted people came to them repeatedly and pleaded and presented troubling evidence, they rejected these entreaties and claimed that those concerned individuals were overreacting and enemies.

For an average layman this might suffice, but for clerics in whose hands are the custody and care of God's souls and whose solemn duty it is to protect and defend God's Holy Sacraments, no!, no simple oh, he fooled me.  The more that they say, the more the are cementing the notion that they are not fit to be trusted in such grave and solemn matters.

Let us continue to pray that they will come to their senses.

I read the comments first and wondered how ungrateful are we that we can't accept apologies?! But having listened to it now, I can understand the reactions. There are two kinds of apologies: "I'm sorry" and "I'm sorry if you were offended". This lands more in the latter type. I believe they are sincerely sorry that people have been scandalized and upset. Of that I have no doubt. I do not believe for a minute that they intend to do damage. So that part of the apology is sincere.

As to Moran himself Fr. still seems to be rationalizing and claiming ignorance of whether he really was a mistake or not -- which is why is can't outright apologize for that. I actually believe that he believes he doesn't know.

But he uses the example of Fr. Hannifin having many visiting priests, NO to Orthodox, that he would pray for, try to instruct and convert. It sounds like he's trying to pass off Moran's situation as similar. Somehow that rings hollow to me. If Boston were more settled and weren't hurting for a bishop's involvement, then I'd be much more inclined to believe this was a neutral visit of conversion and tolerance (in the Catholic sense) rather than someone whose authority they were actively seeking or at least exploring.

The TradCatKnight thing --- this is one of the cons of priests not being online or having basic internet savvy. It leaves them very naïve and vulnerable because even if you show them the evidence, they don't know what they are looking at so they have no way of sifting the information and recognizing what it means. But the deceit and the scandal of what TCK does and promotes in order to buy fake likes is pretty basic if even I see it. It wouldn't take a person long to figure it out if they tried.

An apology? What that place needs is hardcore reparation for the sacrilege that was permitted to take place there and a firm purpose of amendment! They could start by suspending all operations in order to clear out the various other harmful spiritual influences that continue to plague the place, reconcile with +Williamson and aim no higher than to be a safe haven for the Latin Mass.

I'll ziploc this apology and throw it in the compost heap where I keep all wet noodle handshakes and empty promises.

Listening to Fr. Hewko sermon It reminded me of an Jєωιѕн scholar who apologized in public for the killing of Jesus Christ

There's a picture of the moment he says he's "sorry"

The glaring difference between what Fr. Hannifin did and what Frs. P & H are doing now is, Fr. Hannifin didn't invite questionable bishops to say Mass at the Pfeiffer's farm, in an attempt to convert a bishop.

Dear Motorede, catholicunity has been banned.
It might be best if you don't proliferate his infamous images.

At minute 6:25 it clears up a lot, maybe the microphone was covered up or something.
