He did some time at St. Thomas Aquinas Seminary back in the 90's. I think he was just coming over from the NO and Bp. Williamson wanted him to freshen up a bit.

I heard Father's Requiem Mass was on Friday in Missouri celebrated by an SSPX priest from Walton accompanied by some other Holy religious. Sounds like there was a good turn-out of friends.

He was found on Sunday morning so there's a chance he died on Saturday, Our Lady's privileged day to leave this world.

Fr. Dardis died on which Saturday?  His shell was found on which Sunday?  Not yesterday if his requiem Mass was Friday!
I heard he was ill for a long time, but don’t know how accurate was the information.
:incense: I also remember Fr. Dardis from St. Benedict’s in Louisville.  I used to show up at my friend’s house most summers starting in 2005. She and her husband were attending St. Benedict’s at the time until about 2009 or 10, so I’d catch a ride to Mass with them.
I still owe Fr. a tall kitchen stool because I accidentally destroyed his by using it for a ladder in the effort to reach a high shelf while dusting in his library.  I guess it’s too late now!
May your soul Rest In Peace, Fr. Dardis.

Father was found on Sunday, September 6th.  I speculated he might have died the previous evening, Saturday, Sept 5th.
