I also am acquainted with Fr. Poisson and used to attend Masses said by him back when he was with the FSSP. This completely matches my impression of him and his reputation at that time.
It was very disturbing to see what was posted and implied about him on this forum. I'll be taking a break now.
Goodbye I guess, but as the Moderator I take my job seriously.
There are no posts with any implications about Fr. Poisson on the forum.
We are just stating facts and putting everything in perspective.
For example, it was pointed out that the last few priests to get involved with Boston, KY have had tainted reputations, and by that I mean ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖity. And therefore if I were a priest that left some large organization, I wouldn't want anything to do with Boston, KY just for my reputations' sake if nothing else.
But now we have a good explanation -- Father is just extremely imprudent, a babe-in-the-wool of some sort. He might end up like Fr. Hewko, speaking and doing objective evil thanks to Pfeiffer propaganda/brainwashing/lies, or he'll wake up and leave like Fr. Voigt and others. But if he ends up like Fr. Hewko (objectively slandering good priests, bishops, laymen, forums, etc.), he won't be innocent. We are all responsible for the choices we make -- including the choices of CHOOSING TO TRUST A GIVEN PERSON, or the choice to be aloof from a vast distributed source of information like the Internet. Everything has its upsides and downsides, as well as its risks.
Enter the virtue of Prudence.
An elderly person without prudence could lose their life savings to a swindler. God will forgive him for losing his savings, most men will pity him and not hold it against him, but nature won't forgive him. He'll still be dirt broke until death. Prudence is important.
