If you believe he deserves better than Pfeifferville and you know how to contact him, you should, because he said that he trusts that if he needs to know something, Our Lady will send him the right person(s) at the right time.
... and give him Fr Voigt's phone # while you're at it. Fr V can let him know what to expect from his time in Boston.

Outside of calling OLMC, there would be no other way to contact him- no cell phone, no nothing. He will never read these posts online  and I'm sure Fr Pfeiffer is spinning a lot of nonsense to him about it.
I am not a "do nothing " sort of person, I tried to find him before when he left the FSSP, but I was unsuccessful.  So to have him pop up like this was both good (he's alive!) and bad news (Boston, Kentucky) for me. I will have to think and pray how to approach this. But yes, you are right. He needs an intervention...

Let me tell you a little story about piety:

I knew a young Traditional man, let's call him George, who was the most pious in his group. Everyone admitted that George was the most pious; he would spend the most time in prayer, etc.

George was a bit on the "simple" side. Quite functional, but not all there.

Fast forward a few years. George got involved in the Conciliar Church, specifically a church/organization dedicated to his favorite saint/devotion. In this milieu he met a woman -- Novus Ordo, of course -- and married her. They had 2 children.

Then they got divorced.

And probably annulled, too (or at least I hope so!) because George was on Facebook talking about his latest "flame" and how much he wants to date her and get remarried.

That's where piety (without prudence or doctrine) leads.
Solomon was wise, until he listened to his pagan wives.

Fr Poisson's Marian devotion is not a schtick. It's who he is. He is about as "schtick-like" as the Cure of Ars.
I think what people are missing is that he truly does not have the taint of the world in him. He is completely divested of it. I can't tell you to believe it, but Fr Poisson is one holy priest.
I also am acquainted with Fr. Poisson and used to attend Masses said by him back when he was with the FSSP.  This completely matches my impression of him and his reputation at that time.

It was very disturbing to see what was posted and implied about him on this forum.  I'll be taking a break now.

English is a living language. It's imprecise, unlike Latin, that's why Theology and Philosophy should be studied in Latin.

Note: there is no necessary implication that one's "shtick" is put-on or faked.

  • Quote
    shtick
    SHtik/
    noun
    informal
    noun: schtick

    • a gimmick, comic routine, style of performance, etc., associated with a particular person.
"there are many great comics who have based their stand-up shtick on observational comedy"

a person's special talent, interest, or area of activity.
"movies about ordinary women who do extraordinary things—that's my shtick"
