Frances will be praying one extra decade of the Rosary for Bishop Williamson's intentions for the next 15 days.  That will make a complete Rosary.  Those who wish to join in and be "counted" should PM by September 11.  State that you have prayed one complete 15 decade Rosary or however many decades you've offered up.
St. Francis Xavier threw a Crucifix into the sea, at once calming the waves.  Upon reaching the shore, the Crucifix was returned to him by a crab with a curious cross pattern on its shell.

  • I sorry if I'm hijacking a bit but this gave me the idea of a good use for the anonymous forum. What about a running thread where people post what prayers (and sacrifices if not too personal) they have offered for him, like a continuous spiritual bouquet? Would you participate in that?

We could have one for him specifically but also one for all of our bishops and priests. SSPX or not, resistance or not, they all need prayers desperately. The anonymous forum could give those who visit here a good reminder to pray for them more often while not flattering or making uncomfortable the people in particular who are posting.

  • What a perculiar position Bishop Williamson is in...
He used to be the teacher of a seminary with many orthodox Catholics that he could take pride in and increase his strength with, like a father cultivating his sons, but now that they expelled him from the SSPX he is as a wanderer, nomad, drifter, surfacing only for special occasions...

It is plain to see that this expulsion has unnerved him, in one of his videos he comes across as genuine and human, but he is in his 60s and by now if he was out in the world or if he never would have criticised the leadership of SSPX he would have a comfortable living environment with regular gatherings of SSPX that would increase his dignity.

But he stuck with his principles and accepted the consequences, he spoke the truth and feared no one, counting his loyalty to God as higher than his loyalty to the world, and now those who also reject the world flock to him, and he has a new flock, and now he has ranks of people whose only reason for being in his presence is because they want to do something about the crisis in the church and the whole world. They ignore nothing, but try to live as catholics in a world enveloped in darkness. He now has ranks of people forming to follow him who can be counted among those who "see".

I will pray this decade for the Bishop. Ive never met him and most likely never will. But God has ways of making good intentions of some benefit others who may never meet them.

This could be a successful idea, provided enough members participate.
The Universal Living Rosary Association of St. Philomena has been
doing this for about 150 years.  It's best to have the mysteries
distributed too, as Our Lady arranges the 15 mysteries so that they all
get attention, like a good mother will for 15 children - they all need
    individual attention.

The way the ULRASP does it is to assign a particular mystery to each
member, which they pray each day.  But you could have them rotate
mysteries if you like, so that they cover them all in 15 days, only it's
best if all 15 are being prayed each day by some combination of people,
since it is the minimum of 5 Joyful or Sorrowful or Glorious mysteries
should be prayed each day by any one person, usually.  So any group
effort should attempt to simulate that usual practice.

Bishop Williamson was born in 1939 so he's now 74 (or soon to turn 74).  He's mid-way through his 70's.

I think he should pick a successor.

If you'd like to meet him just show up when he's doing Confirmations.

He always takes time to meet people and give them individual
attention.  And he'll pose with you for photos.  He's been doing
this for DECADES.  He's very accessible.  And don't forget to kiss
    his ring.

If you'd like to see him "pick a successor,"  then pray an extra decade
    for Bishop Williamson.......

    Neil,
If you start with the Annunciation today, and pray the decades in order, you will have prayed a complete 15 decade Rosary, what Bp. W. recommends daily...
    Count you in?
