  • Considering the "Deal with Rome" is probably dead, at least for now, is there any discussion on the status of the priests, especially the US priest who were expelled by Fr. Rostand?  The expelled priests were right.  Would those priests even want to be back in the fold?

No! Right now is a deadly silence. Underground somewhere they are  planning their next move while giving us a time of false peace. It's like having an intruder in your house. You find out he's in your house and he knows you've found out so he hides in the corner and plots his next move. If you are not always on alert he will smother you with his next move.

So the war is on in the SSPX and will continue to be so until God sees fit one of these days to eradicate Vatican II.

    You nailed it!!

Sorry, who was expelled by this Fr Rostand? I may have missed something in the last two days.

    Thank you and God bless.

As US District Superior, I do not think Fr. Rostand has the power to expel any
priests. As I recall, that has to come from the SG (currently Menzingen). At least
+Fellay has to approve it. I can hardly imagine him allowing expulsions without
a DS asking the SG for his approval. He just about went ballistic the other day
when +Williamson gave Confirmation to 100 non-SSPX trad kids in Brazil, and
the precise reason was he did it without the SG's approval first.  The expulsion of
a priest is a lot more consequential than that!

Yes, it's quite the "thriller" isn't it?   I can't wait to see what they'll do next.  Right now, we're all in the dark.

I appear to have really messed up this quoting thing. Plus, I seem to have unknowingly created a post.   Anyhow, I want to comment on the above from a previous response.  I agree, but moreover, I think the DS will likely say to the SG, "get this guy out of here, he is a pain."  And, depending upon whom the DS is, the SG will give more or less weight to a decision on expulsion.

  • We don't know the whole story - The best that we can do is to pray for them.
