St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, part of a network of churches founded by excommunicated Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre of France, is promoting “virulent, vicious...

  • How could thee possibly be a lawsuit? This is horrifying.

Just a thought: How long before the SSPX is considered a "hate group"?

The SSPX has been considered a "hate group" for decades already. Just ask the ADL or the SPLC. Even internet filters block traditional Catholic websites as "hate."

Sure, but they consider everyone a hate group. What I meant was how long before their tax-exempt status is revoked?

    LAWYER OVERVIEW

The founder of the firm, John Ray, established John Ray & Associates in 1983. Mr. Ray is the only attorney in the U.S. to have two full-length trials covered by Court TV and has frequently appeared on nationwide television, including Fox News, Hardcopy, Current Affair, Inside Edition, Larry King Live, Sally Jesse Raphael, Geraldo Rivera, Maury Povich, Jenny Jones, Larry King Live, Dateline NBC and ABC’s Eyewitness News, as well as all major network news shows. Mr. Ray has appeared as an expert on CNN regarding jury trials; as a consultant on the Montel Williams Show on a controversial Maryland case, and as a commentator on Court TV.

He is the veteran litigator who successfully represented the father, Joseph Kaplan, in Kaplan v. Chamberlain (the famous “surrogate parent” custody case, where a 26-year-old surrogate mother who agreed to have sex with Mr. Kaplan in exchange for $25,000, bore a son and fought Mr. Kaplan for custody). Mr. Ray also represented Keila Pulinario in the precedent-setting “Rape Trauma Syndrome” case, involving a young woman who was raped and subsequently killed her rapist; this was also a full-length featured trial covered nationally on Court TV. Mr. Ray has handled thousands of cases over the course of his career and has tried countless matters to verdict.

An avid reader, especially of European and American history, Mr. Ray is admitted to the Supreme Court of the United States and the Federal Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.

  • In the end, it's all about money.

If the lawyer was Catholic, he would be offended by Disney and anti Catholic shows and sue them instead.

The more one digs into public docuмents, the more interesting it becomes.

Here is an report involving Ray as attorney and a Madeleine K. Tarone: http://www.nyeb.uscourts.gov/sites/nyeb/files/opinions/opinion_cec_10-07-22.pdf
and another wherein Madeleine K. Tarone sought more divorce money to “revive her opera career”: http://www.nycourts.gov/courts/ad2/calendar/webcal/decisions/2009/D21846.pdf

  • Where there not some other lawsuits where the SSPX Priest bad mouthed a parishioner from the pulpit.  Seems like I remember they lost then too.

Four years attending, supporting etc.  "What we have here is a failure to communicate"

SSPX Priests should take a Dale Carniege course while in Seminary,, also Toastmasters.  (I have taught both ........long time passing) (when will they ever learn)

Life Lesson nbr 114;       Do not mess with Hi-Profile lawyers,
Check his credentials, he is really good.

This guy could have been a great ASSET to the Society.

I attended a wedding at St Michaels some years back and was given my first Scapular by someone there while sitting on the curb waiting.

I gave the bride a very old Angus Dei, she was radiant, pretty too.

WOW, that was 20 years ago!!

  • There is no denying that the JSPX needs to learn good manners from traditional times.

It is greatly ironic that they are being sued for "antisemitism" in a time when the Society is in the grip of HoloHucksters, Saint(s) of the Sanhedrin, and Zionists.

That said, how is a DIVORCE attorney, publicity hound or not, an asset for practicing Catholics?

Are there any locals who can research whether or not he married a divorcee for whom he sought more lucre so she could resuscitate her opera career? How was her singing received at the parish?

  • Are some of you acquainted with SSPX priest, Fr. Stephen P. DeLallo's book, The Sword of Christendom, Angelus Press 1994? If so, you may be interested in learning more about Fr. DeLallo in a future post about his current attitudes towards the "Jєωιѕн race," particularly as they touch Bp. Williamson.  If you've read the book, then you'll know that it treats Jєωιѕн issues historically, and at great length.  the book is currently out of print.  Fr.  DeL. is currently stationed in Post Falls, ID

I would start another topic thread, but maybe the matter can be dovetailed into this one.

I am not familiar with Fr. DeLallo's book.

How does it compare with Fr. Fahey's several books?
