  • Shouldn't the holiest priests be first to be considered for bishops, and shouldn't the faithful have the best understanding of who those priests are? Not that the faithful should be trusted since chances are the majority of Catholics are not saintly, but they have the most contact with the priests performing their duties, and the ones who really care about bishops, will likely be the holier of the faithful who care about and recognize the holier priests.

I wonder if they will just consecrate seminary rectors?

  • I recommend Father Paul Kimball.

As for Father Richard Boyle: if you are happy with the cozy relationship the SSPX has with the imposters in the Vatican (the current "disagreement" is just theatre) and want to continue in this direction, then he is your man.

  • I'd like to see Fr. Freddy Mery, the Archbishops body guard, but he's too traditional, too devout and they'd say too old at 80.

Father Gregory Hesse had an interesting optic on the qualities of a bishop. He said bishops have to be perfect...so Fr Hesse would have probably refused to be consecrated as a bishop cause he wasn't q u i t e  reddy to actually be perfect...(reddy as in not quite ready to give up the red drink, the same one Our Lord transformed from water!) Just glimpse at his videos...love his conferences btw) Fr. G. Hesse R.I.P. +
